  2. Hey, will there be any hamb T-shirts/merchandise for sale at the pileup? I find myself too lazy to mail away for things. (Hint, hint)

The Bad Apple Pinups/Bare Ankle Burlesque ladies will be there with Paddys CC boys in toe. Donno what all cars we're bringin up but I'm sure Justin's gold flaked top merc and josh's 62 impala will be in the convoy. The lincoln isn't totally mine yet, so it wont be there :( Keep your eyes open for 3 really tall girls in high heels during the early part of the day! WE're soooo excited!

Leaving Friday from Allen Park, No Vac time left here either, lol. My brother (flying in from his home in Brazil), my buddy and myself will be comming to the Pileup. We're volunteering so making the meet and greet will depend on when we're working. We're driving the truck, finally, and bringing a chase truck, just in case :D. Figure we could rent a u haul trailer if anything goes wrong but so far it's been real reliable.

if memory serves me, you pulled some "goodies" out of the trunk last year and embarr***ed the heck out of your kids!

    See you all there.

Bob....LOL. I think that is the first time I met you. Well, you know what they say about first impressions. You would be referring to "the Coopster". It wasn't me! And you've met the kids...I don't think you could embarras them. (It's the Cooper in them).

Denise...my thoughts exactly. Really looking forward to it.

i remember the first one. cold, rainy, no meet and greet. i had heard of the hamb but hadn't joined yet but decided to sign up after meeting a few of you guys there. there's no going back but the first two held at andy's will remain special. it's like it was our little secret.
it sure has grown. the closest parking spot i could find last year was six blocks from the bar on friday night. so there are two threads about the pileup currently on the hamb. i'm sure there will be a few more as time grows near and then a ton more with photos of the event afterwards.
maybe it's time the pileup gets it's own forum under the events section. it would be nice if they were all in one place like the lonestar roundup and day of the drags coverage.

Not sure which way we're going to go. The truck has a big gear in it, not really a freeway kinda truck :D.We're looking into alternate routes and maybe beggin the boss to cut me loose at 11 am Friday morn ;) We dont want to trailer it, we'd rather drive it the whole way.

The second Pileup was mine and son Dustin's first. Last year at Marty's.
No need to line up, just drove right into the body shop parking lot.
No red shirts, no hype, just a layed back day and afternoon with a bunch of like minded folks.
In fact, no one else in Indy, with the exception of some of the Road Rockets, had even ever heard of the Hunnert Car Pile Up.
I can remember counting those who attended from Central Indiana on one hand.
I expect now there are more attendees from Central Indiana than attended the second annual HCPU in total.

yeah, it's grown a little. :D There were lines at the 2nd Pileup, too, but they weren't too long and didn't last long. We had to push quite a few stalled cars in. traffic backed up pretty far on the highway even then. Some of it was show cars trying to get in, some backed up because of the show cars, and some was just gawkers. Between that and everyone crossing the highway to look at the show, and some other dangerous situations, we had to move it.

Rick, you're absolutely right about the Pileup getting a forum, but it's no big deal. We'll hang out on the main forum with everyone else. :D There was, however, a M&G at the first and second Pileups. Well, kind of. Here's a HAMB group photo from the 1st Pileup... maybe the 2nd one.

I remember sitting on haybales watching the bands and watching these two little ones sitting on a haybale inside the body of a roadster I think it was and they were pretending they were driving. Very cute

Really?! Are you sure? Last year it was sunny and in the 80s, and the year before that it was cloudy and in the low 50s and there were snowflurries 2 days (Thurs) before the show! You can't get much more opposite than that! :D

I dunno, it was still dry! I thought three or four years ago it snowed during the show. I'm fine with 50+ degrees and dry!
