  2. I forgot that it used to be Kohler before it was Cayuga - it's actually in Kohler, and how the F#@k did they come up with Toronto Motorsports as the new name?

By that same token, London Motorsports is in Sparta as well.

  7. Good point, but Toronto Motorsports?

I have always known it as Cayuga Dragway Park, the other names were before my time, but fascinating nonetheless.

  8. And now Bonneville racer with Richard Munz, the hot rod collector out of WI. Another little tidbit, I helped paint his Semi that he hauled the BMW IMSA car with. AND you should have seen his Indian motorcycle "Under" the Xmas tree in the bay window of his living room. He lives on the water on Balboa Island.

I agree ....Toronto?..Closer to Hamilton than anything..

Is Les Hawkins still with us? I lived down the street from Les in the 60's, damn I thought that car was something special. I was in AHHHHHHH of that thing. Never forget the cartoon on the front but what I remember the most was the way the top was chopped. Low and lower in the front, too cool. Valinda Ca. had some Hot Rodders. These founding fathers of the sport we call drag racing helped this kid achive some of his dreams.

I wonder what ever became of the Lions signage in the background after the place closed?

That "bath tub" had a 283 in it by '69 and a somewhat more substantial roll bar, then in '71 it was running a Nitro injected Rat........

Bill, I was picked clean just as the last race was run in Dec., of 1972.

The sign that was on the tower was donated to the NHRA Museum, was, then given away and was on ebay just about 6 weeks ago.
Within days, everything else was gone and just the bones were left...with the trash
