Just home... I'm a bit blown away by the quality of the cars. Incredible. Cobbs roadster, fuhrman roadster, etc... Incredible. I'll post on Monday with pictures and, of course, I owe a ton of thanks to a bunch of people. More soon. Hawaii here we come.
Ryan, Great to see you and keith today, the Revo was lots of fun, but where did all the heat come from I got burnt out quick and barely made it home as my car started to over heat twice, then i ran out of gas! But i was able to call a friend and i got home... Long day, but what a blast. have fun in da islands bruddah. cheers, cab
What the hell does this mean???? Are you saying that you and Marcy are heading to Hawaii for vacation??? ****, you've got it made my man. After hearing about Chris' stay in Hawaii and him mixing it up with celebs and ****, I really need to take the Red Fox asap. I am glad the Revolution went well and I can't wait to see some recaps. In fact I demand them!!!!
I just got home too. It was a 4 1/2 hour ride home in what felt like a blast furnace. The bank thermometer said 101 and it was after 4pm. I had a fabulous time at the show and took zero pictures, I was too busy having fun.
Great show and a good time...met alot of old friends, made a couple of new ones, nice meeting you & Marcy! Mahalo
That was a serious blast ! Had the hood of my roadster blow off going 60 MPH on highway 17. Blew a hole in the radiatior hose and overheated like a movo, and then found out whent he hood flew off it severed the generator wires. Then the Heat. ohh man the Heat. But Going to Verns shop was like heading to Mecca (thanks so much for letting us stop buy and to use your shop to replace the radiator hose). So worth the trip. We blew down the coast, home to beat some of the heat and it was a glorious drive into the sunset and home to Santa Cruz. I got a pile o pictures. here they are http://picasaweb.google.com/legendarylars/HotRodRevolution09#
Ok dude if your going to Hawaii. You have to spend some time on the island of Maui. Now when you get to Maui you'll need to rent a car. Now that you have your wheels you MUST TAKE THE DRIVE TO HANA !!!! I will expect a reply on what you thought of the drive when you get back !!! >>>>.
Ryan, I will send you a link to the ones I took. Here is one. Thanks for all your hospitality today, I had a BLAST! Jason
Great seeing everybody there again... I've always said "Quality over Quan***y" is the *only* way to go with car shows, and the HHR proves it. All killer stuff in one location. The Tardel-Cochran clans do it again!!! Nice job. (Anybody seen the Aloe gel? My neck feels like bacon.)
Good cars and good people make for a good day! Thanks to all that made my day a GREAT one! And how can you sell a cheeseburger that good for so cheap? For those that didnt attend, it ****ed, you didnt miss anything, dont go next year. (smile)
here are some more, as you can see i do prefer fendered cars and trucks, plus i took the wrong card and did not have enough room for the fenderless or i would have included them too.
Thanks again Ryan...it was nice to finally meet you. The event was great...couldn't have had a better gorup of cars and people. It was good talking to so many like minded builders. Here's a few pics I took on our way and before we got in the park...I was so overwelmed the rest of the day I forgot to take any more pics. Then we stopped by my brother's shop on the way home and pushed his project out for some pics with my rpu. We are a pretty narrow minded bunch i guess... Neal
