I know there's a lot of bands/musicians on the hamb,I'd like to see a comprehensive list of every band/musician on here. If you have a website or myspace/facebook site please post it. I'd like to network with some bands to play some festivals/car shows etc. I've always been curious about this because music and hot rods/customs go together like hot dogs and baseball, strippers and dollar bills, well, you get the picture. Don't be shy here I've never known a musician that didn't want to expose himself ( or herself) not literally of course;) for a little publicity.

I started a band a few years ago called "Deer Pants" played mostly in churches and for youth groups... band no longer exists. I play acoustic and electric, mostly rythym and usually lead vocals. Trying to learn lead guitar here and there when I have time.

  3. I play upright b*** in a rockabilly band (Black Snapper), and a jazz/blues band (Blues Deluxe). Also b*** guitar in a 60s/70s pop/rock band (Timeline) and a country rock band.
In the last twenty years I've played jazz, Irish, Latin, country, contemporary pop/rock, and folk/ragtime.

Played drums for 28 years. Played professionally for 3 years. Many bands, many gigs, and lots of fun. NICE. I miss it. That all ended when I had twins 4 years ago! I would love to get back into it.

I've played lead guitar since 1965 and played everything from the Beatles to Rush to Genesis. 10 years of progressive country and a bunch more of southern rock and blues. Never got that far with it although I had a couple of good chances but I just couldn't make the sacrifices needed to go big with it. Hell I even turned down a chance at Berkeley. Happy enough on a lower level IF the overall sound and product was up to certain standards

I have been playing guitar for 17 years. Also play b*** and a little bit of mandolin and mountain dulcimer. Got a brother who is a drummer so of course we have been in several bands. Favorite guitar player - Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Bros.) I got the chance to record at The Sound Imporium in Nashville once. We walked in and there were gold records hanging on the wall from Keith Whitley, Alabama, Allison Krause, and the Eagles Common Thread album was recorded there. Had a ***** the whole time.

It's encouraging to see there's some musician folk a**** the H.A.M.B. population... Music is a good thing and there's nothing wrong with being into cars AND music... I've been doing music for as long as I can recall-- I play a few instruments... As the female half of BIG STICK, I was fortunate enough to actually get a substantial "break" with the chart topping "DRAG RACING" track in the U.K. and Europe... Been lucky enough to be featured in the English/U.K. version of the Rock 'N' Roll Music Hall of Fame's "Peel's Record Box" tribute... And yeah, it's cool being on the Robert Williams' CHROME SMOKE & FIRE hot rod music compilation... Music almost made me broke until a good entertainment attorney scored me some justice and enough dough to finally live comfortably (publishing deal, back royalties, etc) it took years for that to happen... Still recording music, have about 7-8 songs that are gettin' some TLC and mixing attention as we speak... Yeah, it's a little rough being a gal who is into cars AND music, but hey, somebody's got to do it... In my music thing my name is "Yanna", as opposed to Diana, seems that "Yanna" goes smoother with the U.K and Europe bunch... I put a link to the myspace site below-- Ya can read the bio thing and pretty much be filled in on the details... Good to see other music folk 'round here!!... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

  25. I've been in ********, grind/death metal, and punk outifts since 1986. I play Guitar and B***, I've been known to make noise with other instruments, but calling that music might be a stretch. I've been in an outfit called Bunge for 13 years, we were called Reverend Poky Bunge, but simplified it 'cuz everybody just called us Bunge. myspace.com/reverendpokybunge for free downloads and bungeband.com for current events. We recently finished a song called "Rolling Burnout/Backseat Baby"....guess what that's about! I'll post a link when it's ready for public consumption.

Played for 17yrs. in a band called DIS***OCIATE we ain't a rockaBilly band or anything like that.We play a combo of PUNK/********/METAL/GRINDCORE I just played my last show with these IDIOTS the labor day weekend. It was a great show to end this long and tired chapter in my life but I'm at it again and am in the process of putting together a new band.I doubt any one on the H.A.M.B. would invite us to play their Hot Rod or KUSTOM car show event.

heres a clip of us in action

Amatuer Blues Harp Player here. Been playing for a couple years, mostly self taught and joined a local Harp Club have been learning a lot there.

I play every week with the Church Band and try to introduce some Blues flavor into some of the songs.

I try to do my best impression of Sonny Terry, George Harmonica Smith, and the like during the week down in the ba*****t and play along with Bluesville on Sirius.
