I found these first four pics on another thread at a race in Alabama, I think. Anyway, this could only be one race car...my all-time favorite. The no-two-wheels-on-the-ground-at-the-same-time, rompin', stompin', bouncin' and buckin' little Falcon; Hubert Platt's "Georgia Shaker"!
I don't think the guys who put up the thread have a clue as to what car they have there...but I do! Check out the "Headers by Doug" lettering on the lower front fender of the new pic (top) and the old, wheels-off-the-ground pic (second from bottom)! How cool is that!!!

Oh, and I wanted to say thanks for puttin' this Hot Rod cover up with my friend Teddy Spehar on the front! He's very proud of that honor and he really deserves it!

    Thanks!!!

Notice the stock interior and lack of a hood scoop..... truly a pro STOCK! I only recall seeing pics of one other Pro Stock back then that had a full factory interior, and that was a Maverick (with cloth seats, no less!).

Gee, I wonder how many current pro "stocks" have ANYTHING from the factory on them? LOL!!!!

My header guy Hank was the guy in the pit at Doug's shop, and actually built the headers on many famous cars. He said Hubert was a wildman, used to show up after driving straight thru from back east. He would drop off the truck/trailer, gave Hank a few quick tips on firing/un-loading the car, and dissappeared...there was a big bowl of bennys in the truck, Hubert told him to take what he needed :)

Cant have this thread without what many people feel is the 'rail' that started them all...the late Dick Kraft and his Bug.
