Judging from the trunk floor and rear quarter, I'd say it's probably junk. Drivers side door looks seriously mis-aligned also, which would mean the frame is already rotted to pieces and sitting on the ground.

Sad... The old coot who owns it is probably still telling everyone he's gonna restore it.

 

My guess is 1950 Desoto Club Coupe

Looks like a '51 Chrysler.

 

That looks right to me going by the tail lights and trim.
