It was a great show....the best collection of vintage race cars I've ever seen outside a museum. It's worth going just to check them out. Didn't take a lot of pictures, but here's what I got...thanks Bart! I know it's "OT" but god damnit I love this car... Really cool Dodge roadster...
Very nice.... Went toppless, I tihnk the car likes it better that way. On to the reallllly cool stuff.
Great shots, thanks for taking time to do so, the wife had borrowed her camera and went to another outing so none from me.. you always do such a great job
Did anyone get a picture of that other 3 window 36 ---black, I think, with a Packard(?) grill. It was sitting just a few feet from the one Fidgeter got pictures of on one of the laps I made through there??!!
Thanks, Fidgeter. I only did a quick turn through the Autorama on setup nite and don't remember seeing that beauty. After I posted last nite, I got to thinking maybe that was a Zephyr instead. One heck of a custom! It was neat seeing both of those cars close together on Saturday. Kind of a before and after deal!!
Bart, thanks for all the race cars, that was the highlight of the show.......cool stuff and great job.
Nobody loved those race cars more than me! I can't beleive we had so many together, biggest gather every in Texas for vintage open wheel cars and BTW we had two no shows. Ken, thanks for spending your B-day with us. Bart
I guess it depends on your perspective----if you grew up in the city ...Manifolds on Main St. conjures up visions of the good old days...Like the soda fountain at Big State Drugs, quite the attraction at the show! I love that name! Bart, I gotta echo other peoples sentiment---the vintage racers ARE the draw for this show. That is what will always motivate my butt to get up and cross the river every year to check it out! Eddy in Dallas
another good-un to brag about Bart!! You and the city did well....had a great day...now I need to get on the horn and get Terry to work my booth for PNP!! ...and thanks for the pics Fidg....rockin....
