Here is the two Belanger cars the no. 1 not a kurtis and the 99 a Kurtis. Later the no. 1 had the no.99 put on it, if you look at the fuel fill is on the out side of the no. 1 , the 99 is not and later years also had injection, took the carb blisters off . Thats Tony B at mil. on dirt,he won more dirt races with the 99 than any body . He almost run me over in the pits and was he pissed, Gary has his temper, he wanted that kid thrown out !!!! Me .....

Check out the belly pan on the Pancho/Stapp car.. You can see the "imprint" from the offy back in the day. The owner said they were very care full NOT to loose it during the restoration.

  14. MB, the #1 was the duplicate, right??? It was to be a copy of the #99 but wasn't quite as good IIRC,
    mlight9.

  15. Josh, the last pic you posted from Darlington, do I see Basement Bessie?? black paint job & no headrest???
    mlight9.

  16. BS, any info on the Dean Van Lines #9?? Is this a new resto or has it been around for some time, more pix if you have any,
    mlight9.

  17. Racer, the unpainted sprint car on the trailer, any info as to history?? Has the look of a Dreyer,
    mlight9.

I'm not totally sure, but do not believe this to be a resto, maybe someone else can help.

according to Junior Dreyer it is indeed a Dreyer, Doc Bowles is the new owner Josh knows him and can probably fill you in more on it than I can

Yep.. It's in line with the others to be Restored..

Richcraft Mike did some nice work on it to get it to the "Mocked up" stage it's in now..

Mark Boles III has a Hisso engine for it.

Rootie and Wynns, thanks for the link to the Wally Meskowski history.
As you say , a bit of a can of worms.
My friend down here,Mal Church , has a Wally champ car bought from the East coast and would love to know if it was one of the "orphan " or "missing" cars
I have done my best to include a picture .If it has come through ,can anybody recognise it ??
    Cheers Greg

    trentesept-
Turned your pic around for better viewing. I'll defer to wynns as the resident Meskowski expert.
My .02- If it is a Meskowski, about the only thing that appears to be original, body/roll bar wise, is the nose. Doing a quick look through of Champ car results in the 60s, few cars were numbered 36 and none of those were Meskowski's. FWIW.
