  2. Any Studebaker is rare, and the two-doors are fairly rare. They made them 53, 54, and 55 in this form. That is a nice starter car. How much did they want for it?

It's posted on the local CL but i wasn't sure about posting the link. I'm not sure on the CL link rules. There is no price. It's got 350 tb injected, 700R4 automatic overdrive, 9 inch ford rear end, 4.11 posi, 4 wheel power disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, american autowire wiring harness professionally installed, tilt steering column, auto meter guages. I can post the link if it won't piss anybody off. I don't know the car or the seller. Just thought it was cool.

  5. Thanks for posting the link Gotgas. I love the Conestoga's. On my list of Studes to own someday. perfect family car.

  6. Stude only made 2-door wagons from '53-'57 when a 4-door was added.

By this book, '54 production included about 7,000 Champions and just shy of 5000 Commanders.

  7. Just sent an email to find out how much. Thanks for letting me know it was on CL.

That is such a good looking 2 door wag... it would look good in any traditional get-up... it would make a helluva sweet gasser... or just as a simple cruiser.

    Those pics make me sad.

  22. The 57 rusting into mother earth is a very sad picture. It is so sorry to see that happen over and over again, but, he is going to "fix it up", so he told the last 25 people who tried to buy it!! As R.N.Y. posted they only made tu-dors untill 58, but there aren't many out there. I think it is one of the coolest body styles ever, proving again I don't know doodly!! ~Sololobo~

My dad has a dealer ad poster of a 2 door Conestoga wagon. It's on heavy cardboard. I'll try and get a pic sometime this week.

  25. I have seen this in front of the local O'Reilly's several times. The brother looked at it and said something about $7,000 and the mechanicals being done very nice. I think I heard him drool on the phone when he told me about it.

    Just an FYI...
The first year of station wagon production by Studebaker was 1954 with the Conestoga.
    All 2 doors.

  27. They are high on my list of "one of these days" cars. That one would be a great start to a rod.
My great uncle sold Studes in Wichita way back in the day. I've always had a place in my heart for them. We had a few.
