That bottom one reminds me of the old pedifile on Family Guy "who wants to go down to my dark, dark, basement for popsicles, and a massage?"

sorry if the interior looks messy, I have it torn mostly out right now, found this on Egay, ten bucks, made a threaded knurled insert, drilled and reamed the cue ball, then pressed in the insert with epoxy on the knurls, I didn't trust threading the cue ball directly. they are synthetic crap now. I also made the entire shifter to go with it, plus the bezel on the boot and the boot itself. [IMG]

I just mentioned this, they have been a synthetic resin for a while now, it's mostly one company making them, the new stuff doesn't drill or tap well, just mentioned this in my post above, so you may need to machine an insert. I put knurls on the outside with epoxy on the knurls, they make sure once it's pressed in, that it won't rotate on the insert. I indexed the insert first so it would point in the right direction, if it's off a bit you can make shims to go on the shaft to line it up.

One that I just made for my buddy's '27 A, It's a solid aluminum door knob that I drilled & tapped.
It weighs over a pound, I got it for $2 at the Habitat4Humanity store.
He has a 327/T5 and I had to improve on the S10 plastic knob in his nice ride.

Just had these made from some of my favorite pin-ups from my collection. They're for sale over in the classifieds. My crappy camera doesn't do them justice. The images on the knobs are nice & clear.
