My sedan has been sitting without any progress since march. Finally got tired of it. Worked on welding up all the brackets and crossmembers tonight. Here's some pics of all that. Rich (kwiksilver) started this car, so credit him with the first few pics...

Here's a question for the masses... Is the front frame section too long on this car? It's 48" from the cowl to the centerline of the front axle. I'm thinking about getting it a little closer to '31-'32 wheelbase. What do you think? Don't hold back....

Looks like you are making some good progress. I have always loved those old sedans. Saw your dad last week. Same crazy guy.

Was that the real BA? If so, thats the coolest thing I've seen in a while!

Car looks good, but I'm with you on the front end. Would look better if it was a little shorter. What are you gonna do to fix it?

I know progress this soon will shock anybody that knows me... But here it goes.

The wheelbase from the firewall foreward was WAY to long for me. So I've measured and thought about it long enough. Here's what I came up with.

Went to the back yard, scabbed an A model front cross member. Moved the front axle back 7". Just so it right in front of the grill shell. Moved the spring back behind the radiator (10") so it works with the A model crossmember.

Here's the pics of the progress. Let me know what you think.

  26. Hey there kevin, you've come a long way rather quick, nice job.
I have a question, I noticed the drive shaft loop in the back and was wondering if you were planning on putting one up front near the tranny?
    My .02 thinks you should.
