Anybody have pics of the 63-66 Valiant body styles. Customs, rods, whatever...

I just got a 66 mordoor not too long ago. Got it running and driving, finishing up the floor boards on it soon.

Just looking for some ideas and inspiration.

    Thanks

I'm looking for a '63 or '64 Valiant 2 door to run at Bonneville...all the ones I've found up here are too rotten to use...

  9. That is good looking car.

Here's my unfinished project, a '66 being reworked as a '63. Might be a bit hard to duplicate the body style over there though, would have to start with a wagon and get cutting.

    Man, you hit a chord here! My wife & I have had a '62, '63, '65, '76 (last year), plus a '75 Duster.

My fave is the '66 'cause of the clean front fenders & trick grille. Only problem I could see about rodding the earliest Valiants is hi-mile ones can have frame & floor-board rust-through. Unless you're oging with a radical body-drop onto something sturdier (or reinforment of a decent under-carriage), I'd stick with small-blocks.

AS with anything else, it's a matter of how much time, money, knowledge/buddies & APTIENCE you have. Think a while before you start the project, read up, confer with HAMBers, THEN decide a course. That beats heading down the wrong raod that may not achieve what you visualize in your head.

Just my 2 cents, from a Valiant devotee!!!

Here is an idea - make it a convertible!
Kidding. They are cool, cheap cars to putz around in.
1963 Had the cool, open Rambler-looking grille, but here is (knd of) a shot of a
1964 valiant Convertible I found in some guy's "collection", for sale here in Las Vegas.
Sorry - I knew the title of the pic. in my computer, seleted it, and actuially it's not as good of a shot as I remembered!
    I see now,. Sorry.

My 65 convertible still in project phase. Not shown in the picture but if you have a 64/65 a nice easy mod is to put a 64/65 barracuda grill on. Changes the looks from meek to mean.

I bought this, it will be here next week ..

If someone really, really wanted to own it more than I , might sell it ..

I have a couple ideas on what to do , not sure which direction I will head with it though ..
