Sorry if this has been posted before. I was watching Car Crazy on speed channel the other day and he was interviewing the Frankensteiners. I have to say it was refreshing to see real rides instead of trailer queens featured.
They're local to my area (Minnesota) so I tend to see them at shows. They have a website here http://www.frankensteiners.com/ you may want to check out. Jay
You may be on to something, but I don't think so. What rules, rules, I can't help that. Anyway, nothing against the dudes, that's just what they said.
I hope so. Looking at nice cars makes most guys want one. Seeing quality builds makes one want to improve themselves. Someone send those boys a invite to be HAMB'rs one and all !
Frankensteiners??? Hmmm?? Aren't they the ones who gave the term "head bolts" a whole other meaning??? (LOL!!) mart =============================
So some of their cars aren't gonna win the Riddler.... Point is they go to a lot of shows around town here, they show up as a large group, cruise in, park together and have a fun time as a club. They have a strong club with a lot of member participation, which is commendable. Sure some of their cars aren't exactly my cup of tea, but who cares, they're out there having fun with cars they built and can afford. Just my opinion....
Well looking at the rides they have looks like most are home built ...... I would hate to call those rat rods since mine is worked on in my garage .l....Most of them are pretty nice looking as well ....
A bit of Dos: Must say that couple of years ago i had business w/ one of the guys in the club, and it was really really a nice person to talk to, very accomodating and ready to help or sort out any problems. Sure some of their rides look like anything most here dont like, but brian6902 nailed their attitude perfect. And its kool enuff to overlook on other aspects I also like a couple of their rides. Now the donts: The RatRodsForever link is enuff... W/ a title such as that i wonder what kinda knowledge is spread trough it......
go to the MSRA "back to the 50's"how you can meet all of them in a group state fairgrounds MN is the place
They are just a little more open-minded than some other groups in the twin cities area. All told, they are just car guys trying to have a good time. (when I say open-minded, I don't mean they have holes in their heads....except for spark plugs.....)
I agree 100% with Mr Sinster ........ Boyd is the devil.......I had a dream I got a hole of my 1950 .... god she looked aweful with 5 star wheels ....
Not sure if my point came across. I think the HAMB would help their cars and club evolve. Seems like a fun bunch of guys.Likes cars.. Ain't that what we are about?
Your right were all cars guys. They go there own way and I don't think the HAMB can change there minds.
They appear to enjoy going against the mainstream....almost seems like they WANT to piss people off with their cars/attitude/appearence. I've heard they throw a wicked party/car show though....
you are prolly right matt, the hamb will not change our minds, but it does not need to,cuz we are all car guys one way or the other.but our club does have some very traditianal cars as well as "rat rods" our critieria is 1975 and older must have something done to the car i.e paint, int. wheels, big motors like in my impala !! etc etc ...oh by the way my name is rich a.k.a ratrod 1 and i am one of the founding members of the frankensteiners i was the one in the derby hat on car crazy howdy all !!! i will get some pics of our cars on here so you can see how diverse we really are ...
The rumor is a lot if their cars are nasty fast and safer than you might believe too. A little art and expression's not such a bad thing. The "Ball" in Anoka is supposed to be a good un.
