This absolutely is THE MOST ENJOYABLE EVENT OF THE YEAR!
Rain, wind, or whatever, it always gets off, and its really populated by some of the nicest, and most sociable, down-to-earth folks you could ask for...and us drunks,too...:D
Anyway, we'll never miss it, and, in fact, its my favorite event of the year...you can't beat three days in the valley, its more than a race, AND more than a car show.
    Its a "happening"
Thanks everyone, Beaver Bob, Scary Larry, Spike, Don, Chopo, Nappy, Josh, Pat, John, Frank("top alcohol"!)...man, the list goes on, and on...
Good to see our old friends, make new ones, and watch some great racing!
Next year we'll be back on the track...
What a blast, I'm sad I'm home, but I've got a LOT of building to do!

Had a blast, met some cool people again and I'll be back next year. Here's the result of my racing. And I had a .000 light on this pass to boot. I'd like to know what cause the spanner nut to end up all crooked. Never saw that before. Had to use a porta-power to get the pumkin out. The nut caused it to jam up on the way out. Couldn't even pry it out. Got it fixed and loaded back in the trailer for Atco in 2 weeks.:D

    Thanks Don!

If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had a car to ummm..."drive" this year...:D

Wish we'd have gotten more sleep on Friday night, I might have stayed up past 9:00 on Saturday!

Wow, that looks like a great race. About how many cars show up to race? I imagine the count was down this year, with the rain.

I need to find a way to get up there for this one, one of these years.

    Wasn't this thing amazing?
    O yeah...

Buzzard, Beaver Bob told us this morning they had more spectators AND racers this year than ever before!

I know the program lasted a LOT longer than it had the prior two years, almost into the evening, so it must be growing, I guess!

OK, so it was AWESOME again. Great people, Great cars, Great racing & Great weather. The fog in the morning was even cool. Larry, Spike, Beaver Bob-awesome job again. It was better than last year. All the new friends & Old friends I got to hang out with were great. Here's some pit shots from before the sun came out. This will be it for tonight but more later. I'm dead tired from my 4 hour drive and then rebuiling the rear in my Willys this afternoon. I've got lots of pics to share if everyone wants to see them.

thanks for posting. I got a little to into it during the warm up passes. Mashed it hard out of the hole, the motor shifted a little and the fan clipped a fin at the bottom of my radiator...what a mess..and an adventure driving home. Thanks to moloko with the 60 sec epoxy ,sawzall, marty, eli,FrankT,yankeedave, and the everyone else who helped patch me up for the 2 and a half hour ride home. Need a new radiator..but man was it worth it. HA !

Thanks to Spike for the cool rod and piston trophy and for picking my car as "Spike's Pick"

Can't say enough about this great show

Mark, I'll fix that little Vermin next time!!! And that's who I was lined up against in the first round. Pat & I also ran together in the 2 round of time shots and had a killer door handle to door handle pass.:D

I was really hoping to see the Galloping Ghia get sorted out and run full bore. That thing looks like it would rip pretty good. Here's some shots I took, I put a couple on another thread. Thanks again to ScarryLarry and his work horses for putting this and the showdown together, I made it to both this year, and can't wait for next year.
