My Merc sat the same way as the Caddy and I have to say the frame on my Merc is beautiful I am amazed that it is not rotted out anywhere .

 

Nice score...sure got your work cut out for you.

I thought I saw a door to that caddy in one of those original pics! looks like you stumbled across a cool piece of land there. lets see some more cool pics of the other cars there, I love looking at these kind of pics!

 

looks pretty intact for sitting in the weeds for 30 yrs.

 

nice find! get yourself a huge soldering kit (led) and i good mask...those led fumes could get in the way of oxygen in your red blood cells!!

Here it is off the trailer. I was able to score the headlight rings and a set of skirts already................yippy!!!!!!!!!!....oh yeah my oldest son thinks it is his......lol.........

Thanks Todd and Steelsmith, I have to say my son is really loving this car and I have to say he has not really paid much attention to the other ones I have brought home but for some reason he is drawn to this one. It must be the power of a Merc.

It's funny when cars first make an impact on a young mind ... It may be a shape, (the Merc), or a sound, (engine or a burn-out) or maybe a ride, (givin' in the spirit of Hot-roddin')!
Once that happens they are a life'r! Ha!

I am not sure on the overall conditionof this car but the owner will sell parts he has a few mercs I am suposed to go get more pictures of it this week cause I have some one that wants parts for a 2 door conversion you may want to look at some pictures also to see if there are any panels or parts you could use sorry but this is the only picture I have of it at this time.

Yeah the 36 Dodge just got dropped off last night to it's new owner. In the garage is my 39 Convertible sedan and a little Model A Truck that I am finishing up to sell this is how I have to do it some of them get sold inorder to build the ones I want to keep.............lol......and the Caddy is still in the air but I would love to score it.

I wish my dad was still into cars.
He was always dreaming of getting a merc or a 33 ford coup or something like that now I'm 42 dragging stuff home and he's not interested in playing.
His favorite car he had was a 60 starliner with a thunderbird Hi-po 352 and 3 deuces and a 4speed.
I have a new 390 in the shop and drug home a 62 galaxie 390 4speed convertible Hoping he might get fired up. He said it was a worthless heap. I think he just worries about me.
Odd thing is he keeps asking me when I'm going to get around to doing something with the 68 chevyII nova currently used as a parts shelf I have cut apart for rust repairs in the corner of the garage.

 

Thanks for the kind words guys, I will have to show this thread to my boy when he get's home from school today. He will be happy to see all of the comments about "His Merc" as he says. I just picked up some rockers for it so the pile is getting bigger.........lol
