I just had retina surgery in my left eye. That's kinda how I'm seeing things right now!!

On the weekend. Palmer rod run & Lobethal Australian Grand Prix 70th anniversary celebration & demonstrations.
Apparently my old mate Deano chopped the FJ van seen at Palmer. WOW !.. looks goood folks.
Allan Tomlinson won the Australian GP at Lobethal in 1939 and attended this weekend having flown out from New York at 92 years of age. Shown is a John Lackey replica of his 1939 winning MG which was also present and running well.
The Ford ran nice & strong on big lift 50's speedway cam. We did however hear a small but distinct 'tink !' sound emanating from somewhere back of the engine when reversed up a small incline. No hassles on 12 mile drive home. Cool weather, hot flathead = fun.

 

Thats a kidney belt, that particular one is a little overdone for ladies, they are a lot smaller these days,they work quite well especially on long motorcycle rides and are worn inside your jacket.

 

Love the early Ford chrome reverse wheels on that T.

Last week, I went to look at a collection of vintage cars that are for sale. and the owner had two of those bumper cars. They are very cool!
