That is one kick-ass early kustom! Congrats! I love the car as a whole, like the front end, engine choice, interior, back end, stance. Did you get a hood & sides with it? The only thing I might change is the exhaust, other than that, I'd clean it up & start driving it!

Yeah, that whole place was like a trip into a Pharaoh's tomb. Except that the Pharaoh's wife was still alive and really really nice.

Wow! I went to play with what I assumed was going to be a rumble seat and was disappointed to see that it was just a trunk. Bear in mind that until AFTER I bought the car today, I couldn't really see anything except the front of the car.

However, I opened the trunk and found the custom hood, custom grill, the missing transmission tunnel and the upholstered kick panels. The hood REALLY helps the look of the front end. I'll try to take some pictures tonight but it's real dark already.

Alright, here are some pictures with the louvered hood. I'm gonna have to go back and look at the Rikster picture again now...
There is a custom tube grill in the trunk too.

Question for ya'll... I talked to my insurance agent a bit ago and he said that the car is not insured under my homeowners policy while sitting in the garage. Apparently, I need to get a policy for this and probably have it appraised. Any ideas on what kind of appraiser would actually understand a car like this? Any recommendations? After the Lincoln limo incident, I don't want to ever be unprotected again. I'm kind of thinking this car will leave the house a few times before it's ready to drive.

  25. Great looking car, glad everything worked out for you. Shows that there is still people good to their word. She could have taken any of the higher offers of people trying to buy it out from you and didn't. She stayed true to her word that it was yours. I will say this story restores my faith in people. Scoob , congrats and enjoy it get lots of sleep !

Sweet,I've been thinkin about it all day, wonderin if you for shure got it.CONGRATS.Its always nice when people stay true to their word, like the woman you bought it from.It sometimes seems like people like that are few and farbetween these days.Keep us posted, love it!!

  27. I would call Hagerty or Grundy collector car insurance agency and see what they would recommend. Find a trusted appraiser. I'm sure you'll get lots of replies on what to do and not, but I have three cars insured with Hagerty with no problems, and I always have been treated nice and respectful on the phone, when I have another car to add to the policy.. my 2 cents, congrats again... That is sweet.. Congrats ... I was hoping everything would go good for you when I first saw the first thread.. .. Very Cool..

  29. Scooby,

That's the way it is here in Colorado, lucky for me my inusurance man is a HAMB'er. A Hot Rod shop did an appraisal for insurance purposes that worked just dandy. And a policy for just sitting in the shop is very affordable.

See if somebody like Tom Culbertson will do an appraisal for ya. He certainly would understand what he sees.
