the car show and swap meet are one in the same. most guys enter their cars in the show so they don't have to park across the street. saves their feet the agony after walking around the pileup the day before. and if you have ever danced with denise at the bar, she tends to step on your toes alot.

Can't wait until the Pile-up. Anybody heading thru Northern Indiana Saturday morning? I wouldn't mind following some rides up. I don't know if they will let me ride in but I'm rollin'!!! How strict are they? My ride is a 61' Corvair Lakewood, slammed, rack, surfboard, no parts newer than 61' except the rims. They came off a 74 280Z. I can't roll it that far on the stockers (13" and they really handle like crap any faster than 50MPH!)

Same shit as always. Still haven't done anything more than keep it limping along and I just don't trust it. I also can't afford to miss anymore time off due to the hell this year has been and a forced furlough coming up. So, once again, no old car for me.....

    I suck.

  10. Buy some moon disk.......

  11. I was thinking for the meet n' greet, the act of wearing nametags,

Hamb screen names with your avitar. If I made one would I be the only one wearing it?

I would be o.k. with this because,
    I wouldn't be wearing a sign that advertises;"Curious rash"
Although the avitar would be very cool.....

Lord knows I am goofy for wagons of any kind, but unfortunately the wheels don't meet the criteria. And FWIW, Hellfish in our club is building a Corvair. I'd love to see it downtown though!

    How strict? Very.

yeah, I know of another Corvair that will be there, but probably out in the spectator lot (stock). What's wrong with the stock 13" rims? They should be fine and handle well unless a) you still have the bias plys, b) your tire pressure is not correct, or c) there is something wrong with your suspension.

The stockers aren't superbad, don't get me wrong, but compared to some 14" ers with some low profiles there is a huge difference. The biggest improvement you can make to a EM Corvair is the tire size. I don't have any suspension issues, it's all brand new, with performance gas shocks, springs, and highly tuned. Maybe that is part of the issue, the tires cannot keep up with the rest of car! LOL I'll run thru the piles tonight and see if I can't find some good 14", 4 lugs and make a swap. I've been wanting steelies anyways. Hope to see you all there and I'll be looking for that other Corvair!

  28. You sir are a brave man.
You won't have to worry about the rath of her father.
But I would worry about the rath from Dustin's sister. Mad Dog won't phase her.
You might have seen a picture of her, or you might have spent 5 minutes talking to her thru a casual introduction, but it dosen't sound like you know what this girl is capable of....She will literally rip your head off and shit in your neck right before she slits your bag and runs your leg thru it.
