Hello, I'm a newbie to this site, and looking for advice on this Model A. Friend of mine's father owned it for over 40 years. Father passed away quite a few years ago and the car has sat in there garage. It gets started every couple years. It is very solid and has no rust issues and can be driven. They are considering selling it and I am very interested. I don't have alot of knowledge about these, I have a couple 1st gen camaro's. Any help on a value on this and anything else I need to be aware of about these would be greatly appreciated. So far my only plans for it would be just to clean it up and drive it, then decide if I would make any changes. Thanks for the help.

I think they want $6-7000 for it, somewhere in that range.

If its all as clean as it looks in the pics then your really on to a winner. Thats a really good price , its worth that and then some all day long.

Like everyone has said just go through the running gear, make sure it steers and stops safely and then enjoy it. No need to even clean it, with that little amount of dust it will blow off in the wind first trip out :)

    Good luck. Paul.

There are hundreds, if not several thousand, Model A Fords, restored or nice originals, sitting unloved and unknown in garages of older generation men or their widows or children which are waiting to be found and brought back to life. This is one of them.

Yes its still in Okie, Im heading down in 2 weeks and after reading all these replies I better get some more money out for the trip. It is as clean as it looks, just dusty from sitting for so long. They also have one of the model A's replicas with the pinto drivetrain in it I believe. It looks better than the black one. Cars are not advertised anywhere, they aren't going anywhere.
Here's another picture of a car that I have no idea what it is, Im sure you guys will. Same guy owns this one, has a few of these bodies laying in the grass

You can look at completed sales on E-pay to get an idea of what similar cars are selling for. That one looks like the cream that was getting skimmed off the top in the mid 1960's when we wouldn't take a second look at the stuff that's getting drug home now. It would be a shame to cut up one like that for a hot rod though. imho of course.

  23. Buy it even if you have to borrow the money. You will regret it if you don't.That is a real bargain.Buy it even if they ask a little more. That yard art looks kinda like a 20s Dodge to me.Get all the old bodies and make some money to nullify the price of the Model A.

  24. Where are you in Ontario? That car looks great, I vote buy it aswell! I'd also grab all the bodies you could...but I'm a pack rat!

Thanks for the info. Like I said, I dont know much about them other than I've always liked them. He has quite a bit of that "yard art" laying around. Guess I need a bigger trailer. I have quite a few pictures of his cars.
