I dont think you wanna help them look for it..that is admitting you parked wrong..you didnt park wrong..correct?
no ticket..no picture of your car parked wrong..?(and even if there is you can argue manipulation of evidence..photoshop right?)..why help them look for something you never did..
Im going back inside to fix a sandwich..so see you officers later...k?

It seems like it her problem in more ways than one. It's her ticket book with a ticket missing, and those are secuentially numbered and she signed for them. Kind of like balancing the checking account with a blank check missing. Not something I'd like to explain to my Sarge or LT. She ain't got nothing to turn into the traffic court, the traffic court ain't got nothing to call you in on. Done deal.

If she comes back with backup sorry folks, I have no ticket. And no you may not come in! If there is no further business please leave my property.

Do not lie. refuse to dicuss the matter at all. Simply say that you do not want to dicuss any such ticket. Remind her that you have a right to remain silent and you are choosing to do so.

When I was a wee little lad I got busted for allowing an un-endorsed motorcyclist to operate a motorcycle. I let a buddy ride my bike around the service station lot where I worked & he took off down the street without a helmet & headlight on. I plead not guilty & the judge handed me the court copies after writing the court date on them. I showed up at court to see what would happen. After calling all the other cases I was ready to leave when the cop said what about this one? They looked for the papers for a half hour & finally the cop asked the judge for permission to serve an amended copy, stating that he worded the original incorrectly. The cop wrote a new ticket, handed it to me & of course I was found guilty. Kangaroo courts is a small town..Red

Skulll has hit it. She will be in administrative trouble with her supervisor for her screw up. You are between a rock and a hard place right now she "Knows" in her own mind that you have all the parts of the ticket that could save her a whole bunch of problems.

If you help her out it will cost you $190 but if you don't it COULD cost you a bunch more as you will be "On the***** list" of her and her buddies as cops never forget people that screw with them and her and her team are on the roads 24/7.

Bottom line do you drive good enough to avoid doing ANYTHING wrong for the next few years???

So it was a real cop that gave you the ticket? That's the impression I get.

If you own the house, I'd cough it up just to avoid this cop hassling you every chance she gets.

I used to know a girl that lived in Vegas her whole life, had some connections, and I got the impression it really is a small, and fairly crooked, town.

I know nothing about U.S. law but, speaking as a retired cop(fuck, did I really just type that!),no ticket or copies,no evidence of an offence.End of story! The cop should treat this as a learning experience, take a bollocking from her supervisor and move on.
If she's a rookie, her supervisor will expect her to***** up now and then.
Just be polite and don't give her or her colleagues an excuse to get you for something else!

Give her a breathalizer test, then require her to submit to a body cavity search. She may enjoy that enough to forget why she came to your house.

$190 seems pretty damn steep. That's a $25 ticket anywhere I've ever lived.

Just tell her you got pissed off and tore it up. If that doesn't work tell her it went in the wash and then plead the 5th.

I know it will stand up, I've done it. As a 16 year old I just couldn't keep the front wheel of my motorcycle on the ground while riding the roads. I got a ticket for doing a wheely once...well I was 16 I lost my copy, so I went to the police station to get another copy. Well the four dollar an hour clerk gave me two copies stapled together. I went to court on my court day and when I tried to sign in they told me they had no ticket in my name. so I left...cool.

What is wrong with throwing it away?
I know of no law that says you can't throw a ticket away. (If it was legit, you might want to have written the pertinent information off the ticket before throwing it away).

When she asks, tell her you threw it away. She can't kill you and she can't eat you, murder is against the law and canniballizim is socially unacceptable....

Tell her you must have gotten a bad batch of doughnuts, and on your way home that night, you had to pull over, kinda in a hurry, and there was no paper in sight, but some flyer someone left on the windshield came in real handy. :p

The tickets are numbered and she has to account to her supervisors for the missing number. She messed up big time. I know right from wrong. But in this case I might have some soul searching to do......I had to right a letter for a lost ticket to the city secertary explaining how I lost it. You would have thought I had comited a felony. I gave it to a friend for his collection of trivia stuff. It now lives under glass. That was alot of years ago.

I wonder if suggesting she may have torn out two tickets when she wrote one, maybe she should check with the previous ticket holder? I would be as nice to her as possible and tell her about layoffs and medical problems, and as many financial woes that are available. maybe she would have some compassion and could get off with her people using the extra ticket tear off excuse? I am really interested in the outcome of this situation. Good Luck!
