  11. Proof that chrome can get you home-in style! That front end would scare my money back out of my second ex-can I borrow it?

What a truly fantastic ride;I'm glad you saved her,and jealous as hell at the same time. Typical car guy emotion.

Could ALMOST get me to forget my love of the 62-4 B's;notice I said "almost"...

Isn't that what they used to make the batmobile?

I know this might be an odd statement from someone on this board, but you're leaving relatively stock, right?

  17. Nope

In 1955, the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company designed and built a futuristic concept car called the Lincoln Futura. It was built entirely by hand in Turin, Italy at a cost of $250,000, and like many concept cars, was never put in to production. In the mid 1960's, George Barris of Barris Kustom City acquired the car for $1 directly from Ford.

Fast forward to August 1965, the Batman TV show producers approached George to have him build a new Batmobile for their upcoming show. The only catch was the car had to be ready for action in a mere three weeks. Seeing the bat-like qualities his Futura already had, George felt it was the perfect answer to the quandary 20th Century Fox had created.

Three weeks later in October of 1965, the Batmobile was born and television history was made...

Do to it's rarity she will be kept pretty much stock. With a body shaped like that what's left to customize anyway? Apparently she was painted once in 1977. The paint is pretty decent for it's age. The tips are apparently 57-8 Dodge but it wouldn't surprise me if they were dealer installed accessories at the time. SMS has NOS upholstery. I hope to get her running in the next few days. She needs exhaust work. There's gl*** packs on it now which I bet sounded really sweet. According to the build sheet the car is supposed to have spinner caps so I'll have to get a set. It looks like someone in the past took both factory remote mirrors, the twin rear antennae and the spinners.

And we just KNOW what happens to ****ters who **** with Exner's MoPar rides now don't we?

    Haha.....

Geez it makes me sick to the core when I see what people do to sano, survivor rides. They should all be hunted down by Christine and run over.

Keep us posted on he progress man !

Doesn't the front of the car 'talk' enough to you? ;)

Christine might've been evil, but this one looks evil!
