I was checking out a $200 1961 Ford B Series skoolie when the old man tells me I can have a Dodge for the extra $50 in my pocket. I told him sounds like a deal. I have no idea what it is other than a Dodge. Fill me in folks. What did I get?

It's a school bus that has been converted to an RV. For our case to haul dirt bikes.

 

The visor is probably worth as much as the rest of the car, for $50 you got a steal.

There was a few things worth $2

 

The 46-48 Dodge D24 has a flathead six and a standard transmission with fluid drive (a fluid coupling). The grille looks pretty good at a glance. They're a nice big
ol boat and have plenty room to take the entire family. Will have either 16 or
15 inch wheels. Most parts are fairly easy to find.

 

I have a feeling you need to look around more in that yard. There is more then likely some older stuff in that tall grass waiting to be discovered.-Weeks

That is a simple sweet ride there! Throw in a hot 273, 318 or 340 and have a sleeper from hell!

The old man must really love you for something to give that Dodge away for $50 ! Whey not give him $200 and a bottle of Jack black for everything in the grassy lot you find ! I am sure he would go for it !

Those late '40s Mopar 4 doors are among the roomiest and most comfortable cars ever made. My cousin had one when I was a teenager. I'm 6'5" and I could sit in the back seat of that thing and stretch my legs as well as I could in my living room. I'm mainly a Ford guy but always was fond of late '40s Mopars.
