    Thanks again!
Yeh Mart, i think its going to steer great.

    heres a quick update..

josh (my ACE painter) and I have rubbed out the body and all panels and he is coming over Sunday to polish it up, then we will drop the body on and hang all panels on tuesday.
The body is painted in Black Nitrocelulose laqcuer ,over an acrylic red oxide primer, we polished the rear quarter by hand and it is going to look incredible when its done, it reminds me of a polished grand piano, which is what this paint is still used for!

also a couple of shots of why i cant use my Hogan alloy heads on this build..but i think its a fair price to pay for a nice steering setup. (I HATE uni jointed steering with a p***ion.:))

not mine unfortunately, and it was actually cheap, about half what the brookville 32 cost me. of course there is a lot of money in ***embling it, but luckily im making that money, not spending it!!
it belongs to a customer of mine, and is another nice traditional car, or, will be.:)

  5. Lookin great LS....the body's come up real nice !!

    Getting closer now

VERY NICE! It's refreshing to see a hot rod actually built from old Ford parts.

Makes me want to get mine finished up enough to blow it apart for paint.

    Thanks for the great pictures.

Wonder if Ryan can organise to get the Newstead oval surrounds sealed before next year.

Maybe if we get a few of us we could carry it in from the road.

    Verrry shiney :)

Does the inner shaft miss the heads and bolts?
I remember cutting a clearance hole in the outer tube of the column.. It had to clear a head nut. You might - just might be able to do the same and run those cool heads.

Paint looks fantastic, by the way.

    Mart.

That's a really good point! A lot of (most) street rodders these days have no idea what old Fords were like or how they went together much less ever seen a real one.

Got the paint from a wholesale furniture finishes manufacturer, they make stains and varnishes mostly, its called nitrocellulose lacquer. apparently it is used for solid body guitars a lot, and pianos. Henry ford also painted 32 fords with it. good enough for him, good enough for me.
The best part about it? $7.00 a litre. thats about 28 bucks a gallon .
beats $1000 plus for fancy-*** 2 pack systems.

    Ben,

BTW check your email address for my new wife-induced-email address .... if you know what I mean!! ;)
