Hey post your old photos from the 60's here, how about the 62' Nationals at Indianaplois, Indiana, or others in the Chicagoland area. Keep the old Kustomizers in tune with their era.

I just posted these in another thread but they are so nice they are worth posting twice...

These were all Taken By Jim Roten in the early 60's.

The best thing about showing a custom in the old days was that
it wasn't a stocker next to you, like it is now .

Cool thread! But that '56 Lincoln is just nutty! Guess not every custom, mild or wild, was a masterpiece!

yes, truck was from the Cruisin Angels. Truck still exists. This picture was taken August 15, 2009 at an old hot rod club reunion/commemorative type get together at Great Lakes Dragaway.

  18. I loved that truck, but I loved the Orange and White '56 Lincoln even more! That was an early Dave Puhl car and it started some major fires in my little kid heart the first time I saw it at a Milwaukee Fair Park Outdoor Show............Thanks! Centurion9

the orange and white Lincoln was owned by Bob Dzemske, member of the Kourtesy Kustoms, Milwaukee. He resides in Arizona. He and his son are involved in the rod and custom activity in Arizona.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, the era of kustoms and hub caps...and no one allowed a stock Corvette into a kustom show...or anything 'stock' for that matter...

    Luv it...keep 'em coming...

  23. Hi Curt....I corresponded a few times with Bob's son when I joined the HAMB....we pretty much exhausted our communal pile of local cars and didn't contact one another again....I'm still baffled at the lack of information on the "Kandyapple Kart" 55 Ford Tudor....Maybe it was a South Side thang.......:) Centurion9
