Amazing story here. This fella here was three cars up from me and said to me, "Come here I wanna show you something." I followed him to his car and in his trunk was his s****book, he said "look here." I couldn't believe my eyes, there was a Consul Capri with white racing stripes on it and Buick Skylark wire wheel hubcaps, it was the guy's very first car, he was from Wisconsin, he bought it used for $600 in 1964, it was a 1961 model. What a coincidence!!!! Later on in the day he asked if he could sit in it for old time's sake, I told him he could drive it if he wanted to, but he said no. He's gonna scan the pics and send them to me, I'll post 'em when I get 'em.

Yup just me and Miles, had a blast, it was hotter n hell though, like 100 damn degrees. The Capri did great, trouble free all the way there and back and I probably only used 5 gallons of gas, much better than my American gas hogs. Miles talked to his hamster giving updates every ten minutes or so. The best part is seeing yer friends again, it's the people who make it. The NSRA does make you "bend over a bit" but I guess it's expensive to rent the fairgrounds. I just wish you weren't forced to join the organization to enter the show.

When I first saw the side view of your Capri, said "Wow that shortened sixty Ford does't look bad." Never saw one like that . Looks like fun, came out nice.

That Capri turned out awesome. It makes an excellent custom. The swept back roofline gives it a sporty look. Very cool alternative car. My boys and I were there Saturday, but I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted. They were hating the heat, and I wasn't lovin' it too much either. That's one of the hottest Tampa shows I can remember in a long time. Somehow missed your car, but we didn't get to cover everything I wanted to. Very sweet ride. Mark

Great seeing everyone at my first NSRA show... and maybe my last... I brought my little banana seat/Stingray-style bike to get around in the heat a little easier, and I was told I couldn't have it in the fairgrounds... Maybe it was because they rent handicapped carts to the OBVIOUSLY handicapable. Nad's car gave me a semi-chub.
You'll see it in person soon enough. The car's far from perfect, I had a hell of a time with the paint, but I learned a lot, next time it'll be easier. By the way, Hot Rod Walt Richards striped it, the br*** trim was chromed by Quality Pot Metal Chrome in Lakeland, bumpers etc were done by Spacecoast Plating in Melbourne and the interior by my old friend Solomon Mills at *** Upholstery in Kissimmee Florida. I wish my mom, dad and mom in law were alive to see it done.
Great to see you again and thanks for the pics. Your Capri is one of the few that really blew me away. Obviously, I wasn't the only one, judging by the people stopping to drool over it. You hit a homer with that one. Nice job man. Mike
I left the fairgrounds Saturday right behind Nads in his Capri, and it was hee-larious watching all the heads swivel, double takes and guys pointing it out to their buddies asking "WTF is that? It actually moves pretty good too!
Looks like you had a great time, and I am sure lot of that is because your son was with you. My son and I always attend a local swap meet/car show together. He told me he will always come to the show with me. A special time for both of us.
