Why make a chevy go slower .More Hp out of a smallblock Even the mustang guys are putting 383 in there fords.If anything Nailhead or caddy .Maybe even a Poncho But Why Ford .
My Dad (50's hotrodder) always said he wanted to drop a flathead in a 57 Chevy just to piss guys off. Might even things out a bit. Ha Ha.
Ed Roth ran a 406 Ford in his orange '55 Chevy 2 door sedan. He even had an article about how to do it in Hot Rod or Rod & Custom. That's all the motivation I would need.
Hmmm, and I thought this was a 'traditional' rodding forum???? IMHO, Just about any GM mill would be a better choice than an FE Ford into a GM. Oh yeah, it would be 'different,' in kind of a furbar sense, and might even run great, but it will result in a vehicle that will appeal to a very limited market, and unless parted out, would knock about 80% off the resale value that a more conventional choice would return. Not to knock that 428, as it would be a hell of a swap into a mid-50s FORD.
i didnt know you could sell it after you built it.......no wonder my car collection keeps growing...hahaha
