Hi Everyone, This is Gene's secretary, Julie. I just wanted to start a thread about the Winfield & Watson Car Gathering that took place this past weekend. Also, a big heart-felt thank you to all who attended, contributed their talents and helped with this event to make it a huge success. All of our raffle earnings went to the Progeria Reserach Foundation, for more information please visit their site at http://www.progeriaresearch.org/ . Thank you to all the businesses and companies, as well as all the artist, who donated auction items for the raffle. I invite anyone who attended to post their photos and let us know how much you enjoyed the carshow.....It was a blast!!!!!!
WOW what a great day...I was honored to have my 51 Chevy put right up front beside the Grapevine clone (yes I know Randy Rhodes owns it)....there was so much history there! what a great day and can not wait till next year...you guys did a great job! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK. John
What a day........cool cars, good music and great people. Thanks to all the West Coast Guys that made us East Coast Guys feel really welcome. Special thanks to all the stripers, painters and builders who donated time and talent to make the auction a success. AND the good people who bid and took home some killer artwork.
See my thread going: "Winfield & Watson Gathering, and More" If you have a picture of a "Legends" group photo please post. Many people , like me, had a long road home and could not stay till end. Thanks.

Yes siree...what a great time was had by all for sure...hey John I was honored to be parked by your Chevy...what a beauty and also Brad Mastersons chopped Fleetline...what was the deal??? Did we luck out getting to put our Chevys right in front,or what...Tranny John was parking vehicles and even he was wondering how three 51-52 chevys got lined up like that...I had a wonderful time visiting with folks hadn't seen for years and even met up with an Aussie friend there who had just arrived in the states two days earlier...Had a fast trip down from Oregon and returned home on Tuesday....POURED rain all the way from LA to LApine and I sure got my $250 worth of Newport Engineering electric wipers as they ran from 5AM to 8Pm on the trip home....Again Thanx to Gene and Larry, all the Rod*******s and everyone else who made the event so succesful !!!! YOU DONE GOOD..!! Randy
The show was a blast! way bigger than last year! the amount of history and talent that was present is just astounding! everyone******es about the desert but what ya got that beats this!! Proud to be a desert rat!!
First I would like to thank Gene, Larry,& especially all those involved in the greatest event I have ever attended, for their hospitality & all of the "behind the scenes" hard work that we sometimes never see. Also a really BIG THANK YOU to Julie for keeping it all together & helping out some old East Coast painters cope with the "desert". For me it was like I imagined it to be back in the 50's when all of my heros would all be at a show at once, & I'd get to see them in full size, not as pics in the "little books", not to mention taking pictures, getting their autographs. It was an honor being invited & the two days spent at Gene's will forever be remembered as one of the BEST. Thanks again to all the people that bought the art & memorabilia for the auction & put up with my Jersey attitude. And to Larry(that commie********) you're still the best, see ya in Syracuse next year! Here's some photos,I'll try & post more later, enjoy.
I don't have my own account here on the HAMB so, I'll just say a quick "you're very welcome" from Gene's account....it was my pleasure you east coast guys are all awesome Just wanted to post some of my pictures from the days events
