  5. Celine is from Quebec and they want to separate from the rest of us, so we can't legally apologize for the stick like wonder.

And when he says that they had Fords they actually had Canadian Fords like the F47 instead of the F1.

Big country, not so many people, so if a Mercury franchise was in east overshoe, the dealer had a small number of potential customers and Mercury covered only the mid range of the market. Adding in the Meteor (essentially a Ford with Merc trim) and a truck line gave him fairly complete market coverage.
The six was not offered simply because it did not have enough surface area to stamp on the national requirement of having the model designation and firing order in French, Algonquin, Inuit, Walrus, and English. Just can't be done. Inuit alone was worse than Danish.

Exactly...thats why we kept the Flathead several years longer than our southern brothers...took that long to transfer all the official languages onto the Y block!
(Which also explains the need for deeper block sides...writin' room!!!) ;)

  19. And Inuit writing wasn't even adopted till the 70's so when you got a Frontenac you got an Eskimo family in the deal to translate the owners manual! The wagon was the best deal then you would have enough room to haul them around. They also understood the cubits to hog heads for the tire inflation and how many gils per furlong you get for petrol mileage.

Exactly. Just like today, you can buy a Chevy Suburban in one of three ways. Chevrolet, GMC Yukon, Cadillac Escalade (never have figured out why anyone would spend an extra 20 grand to get a Cadillac grille and some Cadillac emblems on a Chevy)

  25. Sadly, it appears that the old Canadian World Domination website has gone offline. Maybe their servers iced over, or perhaps they were eaten by moose? (meese?)
