I first met BP on e*** having sold him parts for his 3 window and subsequently buying from him. I am on his email list, along with alot of others, for pictures from various car shows and garages. I am glad he scored the roadster and is going to put it back on the road. Keep those letters and postcards coming!! HB32 aka deuceroadster@telus.net[/quote]

I also met Beppie on ebay and I am on his email list. I have talked on the phone to him numerous times and he is an extremely nice man. His 3 window is exactly the way I want mine to turn out. I know this roadster has to be unbelievable. To have been hidden all these years and not scooped up by a collector is more unbelievable than the fact that it was bought for $1,000. Congrats, Beppie

Ahh...thats kinda sad...I think if I were ever to score a piece of history like that it would only change hands at my estate sale. Johnny

Cool car, glad to see it back together. Ummm.... why is he thrashing the shit out of it? I drive my cars pretty hard but try to avoid the temptation of barreling through a field and going airborne. I think the car deserves a little more respect than this, but that's just me.

    LMAO, no kidding!

Well pardon the hell out of me for missing that very special episode. I guess I should have read every friggin' thread on the HAMB before making such a silly comment. My bad. Lesson learned

  9. Don't apologize Daddio 211! I agree with you. Hell, that old Deuce belongs on a lonesome two lane highway going nowhere just for fun, not off roading in a vacant parking lot for a Utube video. Show some respect for a vintage Deuce because I doubt if any of you guys want to be ridden that hard when you are over 75 years old - if you make it that long!! If you want to squirt dirt, buy a four wheeler!

  10. X2.. pretty sure i heard the rear axle bottom out on the frame on the way up one of those hills.. thought it was the decklid at first but it sounded way too solid for that.. anyways not what i would do but then again it is his car and they were all smiling ear to ear and i guess that's what it's all about..

Ha ha, did that come across as an ACTUAL apology? I guess whoever it belongs to gets to decide what to do with it, but apparently we're rehashing ancient history.

  13. Whats with the SD skeleton painted on the decklid in the Ebay add? I mean, if your gonna preserve a car like that...

  17. huh... it's for sale now...?

quite a thread... not real thrilled with the current "ending" though... must be the Indiana Jones in me.

maybe the sequel will be better

edit... found the auction on ebay for the car... offered him $2K... I''ll let you all know how it turns out.

This is out side of Don Orosco's shop. Where many cars are built and not touched but just drooled over. The guys in the video are all of Oroscos's crew. In fact Enrique made the video. It was their idea. I think they needed to blow off steam and have some fun with an old car. We had it out there a few days ago and they all bombed around and they wanted it back for a video. It does not hurt the old thing. This is how they were run. No damage. just good laughs. Knowing we were being just stupid. It was fun to see these serious fabricators, painters and some of the best builders in the country (inmho) laughing over something as simple as bouncing around in an old ford.

  25. For the record, I dig the video and the car! I might not thrash it like that (or maybe I would if I paid $1000.00 for it ;) ), but, it actually looks like it was built for it (rear kick up etc.) I was just wondering if the old dude got the ride is all...

It has changed hands one time. He had a three window coupe to finish and it took priority. It was not an easy thing for him to do. He was happy to see the car up and running again.

Regarding my skele on the deck lid....I race at bonneville/ el mirage and it is part of a long time running joke I have with my fellow racers. I had it on another roadster I built and sold. THe guy who bought my other roadster said he was going to take it off and never did. The next guy can wipe it of with thinner and the car is no worse for the wear and tear. It is my car tattoo. It's about having fun with your own stuff isnt it?
