pretty productive weekend all in all, although i wish i coulda gotten a little more done,,,very happy with the grille opening, very happy with the headlights, did some more cutting on the cowl/windshield piece,,,stood back and snapped a few shots at the end of the day,,,all in all i'm happy where the car is heading, , , in the second pic, you can see i reconfigured the line where the pancaked hood will be,,,flows much better with this shape, , ,

  3. Super nice.
Is the front part of the door drop out going to follow the same line as the screen, looking at it in the profile???

you know, with all the design changes/decisions on the car, , , i think the color choice is gonna be the most difficult of em all, , , :p

  9. HUH??? Flat black and Red wheels...............

  10. You'll have to just take a bunch of paint chips and stick 'em in a hat and shake it and have someone draw one out of it... lol

I cant stay away from this thread! I just have to say, if you sway from the kaiser grille, maybe drilling the centers of the pontiac stars and using a small chrome knob or bullet in each would be a nice deviation from the typical star. It would give that demensional feel to it if done right you know?

Thats the one!! Got to be done Jim.
Thats the look I had in mind. It was just quicker for me to paint one rather than go and look for one.

I was trying to work out how to shape the ends, where the recess has to run into the grille surround. Not easy or?

That's a nice clean design. Beautiful shapes.

  20. Looks like the scene in "Finding Nemo" where Marlin and Dory get swallowed up by the humpback whale... "Swim away!"

    I like this...

    DSCF0006%281%29.JPG

Just one suggestion, dont chop off the corners on the bottom of the garnish moldings.

But lengthen them, tapering down into a peak, going just around the corner of the front fenders...

i actually thought of doing just that, but not sure if i could pull it off,,,,i have a taped line on the edge that would taper it down to a point,,,,,im kinda thinking of going this route,,,,,

I totally agree, that does look better :)

  29. Much better. It brings the angle of the light in line with the side of the grill making a more pleasing look to the eye. It flows better making a nice transition.

I understand your reasons, but it looks overdone to me. Too extreme.
