Fury is a '57. (smaller headlights on the inside), but is nevertheless very desirable I know. Condition was so bad you'd be better off using it to convert a four door.

    Here picture of the Ferrari

  2. If that Camaro is restorable, the Fury should be childs play.

Thanks for the pic of the Ferrari, I would have bought that for $3K just to say I have one.

The Plymouth in the picture on the other page is a '58, has 4 equal sized headlights and a '58 hood badge on it too. Unless the one pictured isn't the Fury in question (not trying to start a fight, just saying)

Looks pretty solid actually. At least it didn't break in half!

I was just thinking that, it's not bad at all, better than the '55 Dodge convertible I bought last week. Very well worth restoring, I'd love to have a black on red stocker '46 Ford convert, Biff Tannen style.

Well the Ford is more solid than i could hope. Frame is perfect, doors and hood are in good shape ( doors only need some patch panels on the bottom), floors are gone, seats are gone. Small items, like glove box, door latches , hood hinges respond well to easy stuff like some heat and oil, after some persuasion they unstuck and start working again. Very good quality matherials!. I am now fixinf the hood and tomorrow wiiil start working on the pass side frnt fender.
Funny thing, most bolts only need some heat and oil, and come off without problems.

You'd be suprised, sometimes , cars that look really bad are not that bad one you get into them. This 58 Chevy I got was the same way- looked like total rusted out junk but really after cleaning it up turns out pretty solid.

Well, solid except for most of the back end that I cut off. Other than that...

I like the rig they used to pop that 'vert out. Nice to see they have a bit of respect for your purchase. I've seen them just yank stuff here that would make you cry. They'd figure out a way to rip that car in half. That looks solid and the top bows are worth the admission price. Have you started a build thread?

I don't think that sold. It's might be going in the crusher unless the yard owner saves it.

Guys, I just went back last weekend to visit where 2 of my FAVE yards were back in '67 when I first got my driver's license. They'd both been about stuff as early as 1918 -- lots of '30s, '40s & '50s stuff! IT WAS ONCE MY HEAVEN.

The first one I came to (where I bought Hudson, Nash, Packard, DeSoto & a couple of Graham parts) is now ALL clear and returning to woods and personal lawns, etc.

The second had been smaller and once had a '55 DeS 2DH, a Packard 120 and remains of an '18 Chevy, among MANY more things. It's now totally cleared and has houses built where it used to be. Fond memories, sad realities.

MY POINT? SUPER-glad to hear the subject yard had so many cars saved! God bless EVERYBODY who tries to save and rebuild (to their OWN tastes) anything that's left!!!

Oh they went for big money! Up to $5000 if I remember correctly.

  28. They hadsome major engine issues. I remember a friend bought a secondhand one about 13 months old and the engine died a few weeks later. Cost of a new engine plus fitting was damn nearly what he had paid for the car. He sold it to be parted out.

Could have fitted a Buick 215 V8 like the factory did later on.

  30. Popular swap these days but back in Liverpool, UK in the 1970's very few people would/could have done it.
