OK, long story short Austrilian hot rod friends of mine and Franks, AKA Enjenjo, came to the States after one of them, Scooter, purchased a Hemi powered '50 Panel Delivery. Suppose to be a driver, Frank went thru it and fixed a huge list of stuff before they got here.

The boys, Andrew and Scooter had a bunch of car parts ordered and shipped to Franks place (plus spent thousands of dollars at Sumitt last week) to be loaded into the panel and the panel driven from the Toledo Ohio area to Long Beach, CA via Route 66 where the panel and parts would be shipped home in a container.

Before they even left Franks driveway there was an issue at the last minute with the MSD distributor. They ended up building a new one outta parts cuz they couldn't find one in a timely fashion.

Went to the gas station to fill it up with fuel and the tank sprang a leak, back to Franks, tank dropped, welded up, back on the road.

Back on the road supposedly heading to the GG Bowling Green, KY event one day late.

Before they even left Ohio there was an issue with the tail shaft yoke.

I guess they got that fixed but the angle of the driveshaft is wrong. They limped to L'ville, KY yesterday.

I then called Joe AKA HAMBone who came to the boys rescue and got them to a safe place yesterday (Thanks sweetie! xoxoxo) to wait out Frank who drove 550 miles to pick them up with his truck and trailer and to now haul them the complete 2,100 miles to Long Beach California!

If it wasn't for bad luck these boys would have no luck. Anyway, besides thanking Frank and Joe for their assistance I'd really like to help Frank line up a car to haul back east to help pay for expenses.

Please, please, please, if anyone has a car that needs to be hauled back towards Ohio or really anywhere PLEASE let me know, or Enjenjo. OR if anyone knows of anyone that needs something haul. PLEASE help get the word out. Frank has gone WAY out of his way for these guys and me over the years, and I'd just like to do what I can to help him out.

I would imagine they will be in CA on Wednesday or Thursday and after a day or two of rest Frank would be heading back so if you are looking to get a car shipped NOW (this upcoming weekend) he is your man!

    Thanks bud, appreciate that.
They got to Joplin early this morning after driving all night. They stopped at John AKA WzJunk's place so Frank could sleep. They hit the road shortly after lunch and will probably drive till late then stop again for the night.

  4. Having previously read about the daily onslaught, I feel that all of you guys who have been helping represent what makes me 'want to be a better person', going way and above in the name of friendship, especially since you've never met in person prior. There are times when I feel the rodding 'scene' is an 'abusive entity' that is full of 'self', but thes actions you guys have displayed revitalise my perspective in our fellow rodders.

Safe travelling to all involved, & BTTT.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus

  6. Frank is a stand up guy for his fellow humanoids / hot rodders. Wish I could help as he helped me out a couple years ago. Anybody, Anybody.......

Bloody hell talk about going well above and beyond the call of duty to help out a mate.
It’s a shame the guys couldn’t peddle the car all the way as was the original plan, but how fortunate are the guys to have a mate like Frank to help them out like this.
Great mates do this sort of thing for mates but I suppose Frank now has an empty load coming home at the end of all this, what a great opertunity for some one to get a car, or parts there of moved back.
Just an idea but why not get in touch with him and see what you can sort out?

Great job Frank. You ever come to Australia there won't be enough time to visit all the people who want to thank you for your generosity. Dave

Yes, trying to find someone that needs a car hauled from SoCal east to help with some of the expenses back. Basicly Frank can take any route home back to Ohio or even further then Ohio if needed.

I know from personal experience that a car shipped from the Petersen Museum in downtown LA to Livonia, Michigan would cost $1,575. by two different carriers. So having a car hauled by Frank could save someone alot of money AND do another HAMBer a solid.

    WOW....what a neat deal.

I got the chance to meet Frank a couple months back and I agree....he's an awsome guy. Pretty funny too.

If he can't find a load to haul back east, I'd be willing to throw him a few dollars to defurr his traveling expense.

I too owe Frank a lot for getting my car running and answers AND explanations on many things. Great Guy!

  27. Frank has received and repacked/shipped a couple of HAMB/epay purchases for me before, and is doing another this week (when he gets back.

    GREAT guy.

and Andrew and Scooter are long term mates, both of whom have done stuff for me.

So I just dropped US$20 in Franks PayPal account. Not much, but I figure if 50 of us do the same it will cover Franks costs.

I also gotta say it is awesome how complete strangers on HAMB and two other forums have all been folloing this adventure, and rallied to help out

Rodding is more than a hobbie, it's a lifestyle ........ a bloody awesome lifestyle

Although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Frank personally, I am very familiar with him due to a number of years on the Rodding Roundtable and here on the HAMB. He is, indeed a one of a kind guy. I don't think you would ever find a rodder more ready to help than Frank. He truly embodies the spirit of our hobby.

I enjoyed having everyone stop by yesterday. We had a good visit and I gave them a short tour of some local places of intrest.

I hope Frank finds a load for the trip back home.

Wish I had a few $$ to sling him for helping a fellow Aussie, what a great guy! One day we will be able to re-pay him.
