Ladies and gentlemen the post you are about to read is true. The wheels and tires have been changed to protect the innocent. :)

I would go with the chrome/whites-I believe the car always dictates the tire wheel combo-your car is screaming chrome wheels!

Ain't gonna happen! Thats my favorite part of the car! Nothing against ya, but I can see how bellflower exhaust wouldn't really be a KY thing. Its been fun reading everybody's comments though, thanks anyway.

White walls and chrome wheels, or at least some sort of wider hubcaps.

bad make over now!!!, but since you ask here...I guess you already feel the same.

That car is just great with the chrome wheels and narrow whitewalls because it is what it is.
The pipes don't make any difference either way.

Those black wheels and blackwalls with dogdish hubcaps really make it look like a kid just bought it and doesn't understand that hotrod-looking wheels and tires don't belong on cl***y later model rides.

What can I add that hasn't been said? First pick looked good, second looks confused with the Bellflowers.

If you want to change it up, get some Cragars or Astros on skinny whites... but the first version is hard to beat. if it ain't broke, don't fry to fix it.

I absolutely love your car! And with the dog dishes, blackwalls, and no bellflowers (maybe dump exhaust hidden behind rear wheel?), that would be one clean machine. Wider meats on all corners would fill the wheel wells pretty well and accentuate the wide body lines.

Mid 60's Mercurys have such nice chrome and yours is already top-of-the-line, so simplifying your look with the dog dishes and tucked big tires is a real particular style. Kind of like you've got something to hide. If that's what you're after, go for it!

Switch to spiders on the chrome reverse if you wanna change it up. Don't like the steelies and poverty caps.

Yeah, you could be rite;) around here you would come closer to seeing pipes like that running up the back of a pick up cab (stacks! :D) that could be what turned me against something like that.
No disrespect here,if you like it,that makes it cool:cool:

My wheels have gone thru some changes. Personally, I think on your Merc both look great, but the chrome & whites are the winners. They look just right. I've settled on painted steel and spyders on mine. I really dig your Merc, it's ****in bad***!
