~H.A.M.B iPhone App~ Need Your Vote PLease ~

Hey guys so theres been some talk about a H.A.M.B app for the iPhone. What I need to know is how many people have the iPhone and would want an H.A.M.B app and if you would help chip in to have it created? I have a client who makes iPhone apps and the cost would only be around 3k for the full function of the H.A.M.B site. There are other options for a larger ammount like adding in the jalopy journal, chat options and some others.

So please vote so I can get a ruff estimate and kinda get an idea how much it would cost each person if we all helped out. Thanks

Iphones are not traditional!! J/K but really, this is Ryan thing, plus he's a website guy.

 

I'm sure if Ryan was interested,he would have offered it by now...
He's not big on "mainstreaming" the HAMB.

 

I would be interested. Turning this forum into a mobile app really should not be that difficult so I wonder why it would cost so much $. The code needed to sync the app with this site would have to be approved and provided by Ryan before anything could happen anyways.

My thoughts as an iPhone user is its hard to browse around the site and click on certain options. the app would only make the site easier for mobile users.

Switchbladeteeth ~ for an iPhone app 3K is a really good price. Yes of course it would need to be approved from Ryan and he would have to work with the creators. My thoughts are why not ask around and get things rolling. I would love to see this app.

i would pay like 1 or 2 dollars for it when it was done, but no way would i be down for creation costs, i mean its a forum so it not like its that difficult of a site to navigate through on the phone.

I would be all for a free app. In the mean time I will just struggle using the browser like I have been.

if you make it 99 cents (plus how ever much itunes takes out) your gonna need to sell like 3 to 5 thousand apps before you even start to break even. i relize your wanting to jump on a popular bandwagon, but its just not gonna work with something like the hamb, or any fourum really there just so basic and easy to use on the phone already.

and probably only like only 10,00 active on a day to day basis where they would "need" to check for updates on there phone instead of waiting til they got home.
iphones only make up 5% of the total cell phones in the world
so of the 10,000 "daily users" approximatly only 500 would have iphones.
and of those 500 how many would even spend the money on the app

 

I have an iPhone, but don't think this will fly. Like someone else said, the active users of the HAMB that ALSO have an iphone, are probably pretty small. It would be cool, but would be a money loser as far as apps go.
