El Mirage Oct. 25th 2009

Does anyone know what is going on at El Mirage this weekend? The SCTA web site's Event Schedule lists a day of racing on Oct. 25 but there is also a link referring to a two-day clean-up/poker run this weekend?????????

 

I believe the clean up is Sat. Racing is Sunday the 25th. Should be beautiful weather. A few prayers for a tailwind would be more than welcome. "Screwball" will be there. Stop by and say hello.

Its powered by an old Weslake speedway 500cc single. Its best run has been 122.240, The target is 130+.

Just got back. Took "Screwball" up today to get it through tech. Passed with no problems. It was 90 deg. gentle breeze in the morning that turned intp a good wind by afternoon. Tail to cross wind. Lets hope for a tailwind tomorrow. Free horsepower!!!
