Event Coverage Florida "Billetproof Drags" - Event photos here!

We just rolled in back home after the most awesome, fun and fast day of Drag racing that I have ever had.
The "Poor Boys of Florida" showed up in force with our HotRods, Customs and Mini-Bikes, ready for action .
The weather was absolutely fantastic, sunshine all day long and temps in the 80's.
A big THANK YOU go out to Alan and Melisa of Billetproof for organizing the event for us all to come and run our HotRods all day long.
The crowd was incredible, people everywhere, great vendors to buy great shirts and stuff at and getting to see great friends once again made it the most AWESOME time.

Here's a snapshot that my lovely wife Jennifer took of fellow Poor Boy Brother "Rooster-Dave" in his Copper 'A' Coupe and I in my Purple 'A' Coupe doing battle on the Drag Strip.

Today was fun. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one. Hopefully I'll have my bike ready by then.

 

I was kept busy all day between running my Coupe and my 'Gran Prix Mini-Bike' that I have had for 42 years.

We just rolled in, and boy am I tired. What a great day. The Hudson did not run as well as I would have hoped, ****** issues. I'll make it better for next year.

The award of the weekend needs to go to my club brothers Lenny and Greg for thrashing on the truck after tearing it up Friday nite at Moroso. It went faster every p***, and probably has more still.

Naw, Man ..... I just got lucky ..... I would have never guessed that my 'ole Coupe would put down a 7.7 @ 90 MPH on those old tires. After that, I tried to really get aggressive and all it would do was go up in smoke..... I saw the wall at 100' to many times.

 

Cost of gas to fill tank of 32 Ford...$25
Cost of entry to Lakeland Dragway...$10
Cost of tech card to "run what ya brung"...$25
...being able to thrash on your Hot Rods and race hooligans like this...Priceless!

 

All I'm gonna say is, if you did not have fun out there today, you do not know how to have fun.
Made 8 p***es with the HA/GR and four on the mini bike, what more could you ask for.
I'm ready for next year!!
