A couple of '32 Fords. The first one is made from Revell's new 5-window kit. The top is chopped 3 scale inches and the rear fenders bobbed 6" The color is British Green Metallic with Aluminum on the "new" hood and "freshly louvered" deck lid. Next up is Monogram's "Big Deuce". For about the last year I have been looking for a set of tires from the original issue of the "Big T" and I finally got a set from a friend. Here's the before photo with the tires and wheels that came in the kit: And here's the after with the "new" wheels and tires: I like it much better this way. More of a sixties vibe I think. The hood sides are just taped in place for now. I'm still undecided if they should stay or not.
Nice work on both. I like the Roadster with either wheel combination. Lay that windshield back just a hair.....Don.
Nice work. Here are a couple of mine. AMT 32 chopped, DeSoto Hemi, pic was taken before I cut windows for it. One more 32...
Anybody working on any customs? Let's see'em! I've just recently gotten back into building and my current project is this 53 Ford Vicky. I don't normally build my customs w/continental kits cuz they tend to interfere with the flow of the car, but this one just might work. What do you guys think? Should I leave it or lose it?(apologies for the slightly grainy pics. Click on them to enlarge)
I think it looks good with it, Ferbz. I have a few kustoms in the works. I just started this 63 a few days ago, chopped with the back gl*** layed forward, crazy 60s skirts, and a Tbird taillight panel. I have been working on this 49 for a while now, kustom front end and hood from the 50 kit, Desoto grill, sectioned, 57 Chrysler taillights and fin tips.
Started this 49 Shoebox in May. Cut the roof off it & hacked in a few 57 Chevy body parts. Need to get it finished. Great looking stuff everyone! Brad
i can't believe how much work you guys put into these customs....awesome! that sectioned, chopped shoebox.....wow. I don't have the patience or time to put into a kit like that so i have alot of appreciation for what you guys are building....killer!
Some day I will build and post a mdel car with out numbers on the doors! But untill I do, here's a couple of vintage square coupe dirt track WIP modifieds!
I repainted a built model, basically because I was bored. BEFORE AFTER The number is from a gold leaf kit I found at Hobby Lobby. It turned out just Ok.
