    Nice car.

Your guess is right on, it is a Cragar and it's mentioned in the article too about half way through. What a good lookin' dragster.

I think mor-drop is still around.

    How about a Carter BB-1?

I think I might know where to get one for cheap/free.

    Hey Folks,

I have been goign crazy searching for an article I thought I saw on here about milling out the A intake manifold to match up to a B carb. Since I have access to Mill and a Lathe I figure this would be a free upgrade I could do myself and practice my machining skills.

If you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, thanks

  14. Danggggggggggg thats some serious banger porn. I was BSing with ModelADave at CHHR about what it would be like to have a banger powered dragster still around making passes at Famoso on a regular basis. Might be a future project for us Bako folks. Thanks for the article. Definintely one of the best banger months yet so far.-Weeks

After a long time of lurking on the monthly banger threads I finally feel like I can join in on the fun. I just purchased a 29 roadster from a fellow Hamber and am excited to get my hand dirty.

A couple of cool banger related pics from my family's collection. My grandfather was a lifelong mechanic and race car builder in south america. He actually used to race in the same series and class with Juan Manual Fangio, my grandfather actually named my father after Fangio.

First picture is from the repair shop he owned and built race cars out of, Second and third picture are of a banger powered race car he built and raced (pictures were taken after a race in Brazil in which he placed 7th)

I took this video at this months ECTA land speed racing meet. Didn't get a chance to talk to the owner of the car much since I was busy racing myself but I did find out that it puts out about 200 hp and had been over 130mph. I heard it run from the pre-stage lane and it sounded absolutely incredible.

steve, i also have dual 81's. i will try to upload a picture of the old linkage setup. i am in the process of putting my v8 pedal and a new linkage setup together.

    chris...let's see your setup!

what mag is best for a side drive setup? any thoughts? i'm thinking one that has an advance setup for a good running street motor.

I bought the intake off an old bonneville car and it came like that. i made the piece that hangs down and c notched it to fit in between the headers. it gives me idle to full throttle like it is....just doesn't look so great. i am redoing it all now.

    hope this helps steve.
