TH700R4 onto a 427?

    would a TH700R4 bolt up to a 427 tall deck BBC?

    Yeah, as far as I know the 427 tall deck has the same bell housing bolt pattern as all Chevy small and big blocks.

    I believe so... but a 4L80e would be beefier for the big block.

    700R's aren't the strongest transmissions in the world. Would probably work for just cruising, but thats about it.

    very true! I've build 700R4 and they can take the power. 383, 396, 454,468,502, and 572. but they have to be built right! a good 700R4 could cost over 1800.00 :eek:for the right power.
