Cab, Saw a car with the same dash as yours. It was mounted in the center of the dash It really looked good. Looking forwards to updates when you get back to work on your "T".

It's a good thing you have six berrys cause it looks like you only have 4 left after that last fall.
It's funny to me when a skater does not know who Cab is. Or sad.

We modified the "frame" to match the body with a little pinch here and little pinch there and Wah-La... fits like a glove:)

I've seen it done the other way and that actually gives you more room width-wise, but i think it's way more work. there's a thread on here, just use the search button.

a small update coming later today, thanks for the patience fellas!
    cheers,
    cab

Hey Cab hope you had good time down here and got a bit of skating in.

"You know the Ramones, the clothing label???" Seriously heard this a year ago when a kid was refering to a T-shirt. I tried to explain but..... It was cool though as I had my Von Dutch T on and explained it was a way cooler label :) :)

Loooking forward to seeing more of this car coming together.

    UPDATE #10
Sand blasting the front and rear crossmembers

Yea, it's been awhile since my last update but family life and skate career has a bit of my time lately:) these photos were actually taken two weeks ago, but i haven't had time to post them cause of an eye injury i suffered from this day working on my frame:( I think it must have been from not getting all the metal and sand off my body and clothes that i got a very small piece of metal in my eye and also sustained a small scratch sometime in the process.

Here you see Scotty getting the portable sanding blasting unit ready for use, as we had bought two 100 pounds of sand earlier that day for the job. I went through both bags in less that 20 minutes.

Next Scotty and i took the frame off the metal horses from inside the shop and we rolled it outside on a little floor dolly for the very messy blasting job i was about to attempt.

After getting instructions how to use the thing, i went at it starting on the front crossmember which was super rusty from the beginning. I think i should have used goggles for this one, sand was getting everywhere:(

But it sure did the job and it came out better than i thought... nice!

Next, it was onto the rear crossmember and that was even more rusty than the front and i almost ran out of sand, but just barely had enough to finish it.

Scotty had left to go pick up a car with a friend, so i had to get the frame back into the shop and onto the horses again by myself:( Wow... was this thing super heavy, but i was able to manage it. After a short break, i started working on sanding and metal finishing the top of the frame again and smooth out the rest of the welds on one side.

I also worked on one side of the top tranny plate of the middle X-member which came out pretty nice looking so far.

then it was over to the other side, but i ran out of time to finish it.

Well that was it for that day and i wasn't sure when i would get back up there since we are having a baby this week and it's getting real close to packing our bags and heading to the hospital to welcome a new CAB into this world:)

Thanks and sorry to keep ya'll waiting. another short post coming up from a few days ago, but it's not much work that was done, just a photo opportunity with Burnout magazine from Japan.
    cheers,
    cab

Eye injuries suck...I had one off and on the whole time we did the motor swap on my 49. Rust and other stuff got in and I was too stubborn to go to the doc. Let it heal up man...those drops helped out alot.

Frame is looking sharp. I was wondering if anything was going on with this one. It came up in our shop earlier and we were talking about how impressed we were with the finish work you guys were doing. Those dimple die holes are sweet.

Thanks for the pics and Ill keep watching this one.

Yes, i agree... damaging your eyes does suck and it scared me a bit for my vision was a bit blurred for a few days after the doctor removed this tiny piece of metal from my left eye:( It really made me appreciate how blessed i am to be able to see with both of them and this made me even more precautious about working on my ride and doing metal work.

We'll a few days ago i get a call from my good friend NASH from Burnout magazine from Japan, telling me that he's in town for a few weeks visiting all these places in California and is headed up my way up North:) So i asked him if he wanted to stop by Chuckles Garage in Santa Rosa where i'm building my new project and he was more than happy to do so. So Scotty cleaned up the shop real good ( thanks again for doing that Scott) so Nash could come by and snap a few shots and see what goes on there!

This year marks the 10 year anniversary for Burnout magazine and Nash brought us a few copies each to enjoy... Congrat's for helping to keep the passion of Hot Rods and Kustom Kulture Art alive there in Japan and here in the states too, you rock my friend!

Nash snaps a few shots around the shop as i work on the frame a bit for my very short visit up there a few days ago for the photo opp. (Scotty Birdsall angle)

Nash's ( top view angle) gotta love dem fireworks!

Scotty looks over my work and give me some more pointers:)

Not sure when i'll be able to make it back up there as our new arrival is on it's way very soon and i'll be very busy with sleepless nights and changing wet diapers for awhile, but hope to make it back very soon, thanks for looking and maybe i'll start working on my rear end down here in the meanwhile.
