I'd like to see the grill shell, headlights, and box in the same Red as the cab. It was a fire engine in another life. Maybe fix the roof seam for me,lol. Thanks.

  5. It's been too rainy to play outside today, and I've been following that Tucker post that keeps popping up here, so...

I'm not sure I've got the right wheels on it though. I gotta start collecting some more samples to add to my collection.

I think you should try a narrow black rim, black tire with just the chrome caps.. on that 37 sitting down low tucking the tire. (bigger rears then the fronts..)

Rik, you hit a homerun with that 4 door chevy redo.. I was digging the 4 door with caddy caps and slight chop.. but the carson top was even better

how about using the slight chop, with a lengthened front door (and fender hump) into a 2 door with a larger rear side window maybe the rear curve pushed forward slightly (larger rear sale panel)........

That panel idea is far-out! Cool, but i'm gonna keep it a pick-up. I really like the wheels you put on though. Thanks pro1street!

This maroon one actually looks very similar to the way the truck is looking today. Its still not lowered, still has the side pipes, but is now blue with little patches of body work all over. Once I get a few holes welded up I plan on shooting it a color close to the one you did here, just a bit darker though. Thanks to this picture my lady has just decided that I picked a good color after all. Thanks alot electrodude!!!

  18. Here´s an idea for a grille - Econoline bezels fitted with four lights and a tube grille and rolled pan. No time to look for wheels!

James D, you must've seen my thread about grill ideas from a few weeks ago. The ugly(and beat to death) stock grill has gotta go, and you sir have nailed it!

anyone want to take a stab at this/?
K can someone take a shot at this? My new project is a 1947 chevy coe. I want it lowered, with a uhaul type box on the back, semi stacks and would like color to be dark green scallops with a white body. But whole front of truck green and scallops on the box....

Can anyone do a Black 37' chevy 2-door sedan with 34' chevy grill, headlights, and front fender's along with about a 3-4" chop ? Maybe slam it while your at it ?

  28. Here y´go. I´m not going to chop it - it looks bad on these cars IMHO.
The problem areas are the hood sides where you have that outward curve on the 37 body and the 34 front fenders don´t appear to be deep enough to meet the running boards, so you´ll probably have to extend them backwards and downwards. The hood top is probably too narrow also.

    Looks like an early Mercedes.

    Good one James D!

Here are a couple more holiday themed 15 minute exercises. Both are chopped, sectioned, and lowered - pushing the 'sinister' look:
