Maybe that's an early photo of Frank Manzo? :D More than once Frank hit the underside of the guardrail (pre Jersey barrier days) with the tips of the headers on his funny car. Without touching the body. AND without lifting!

Speaking of Frank - how about some photos of his ProComp AA/A?

I think I'd rather get in an electric chair than behind the wheel of that short wheel base turbo charged Hemi Opel!!

    Thanks Ross,

I guess I've been on boards where more people have things to say. I took all those photos from the Tucson track back in 1980. I wish I would have had more experiance with the 35mm Camera!

Here are a few of my 1967 Camaro I restored. Did everything myself except a serious rear quarter replacement and the final paint.

B/Modified Sports Production. I never got to see any of these cars run, except in films. This class got morphed into the gas classes. A lot of interesting body styles, I.E. Corvettes, Kellisons, MGs.

Sorry I thought it was about people who love cars. The Camaro is vintage in my opinion, I guess I got carried away with the other two. Here is my most vintage picture. The oldest car in our family album.

Yeah...we all like cars. But the Hamb. is about traditional rods and customs. Go check out Hub garage.com for some general interest enthusiasts!!!!

I have no idea what became of it and apparently neither does Bud. I do know he sold the car in '67. He told me all parts including the glass body were supplied by Chrysler and assembled by George Weiler and himself.
I have no idea whose album this is but someone has posted a magazine article from back when chronicling the build of the car.

Funny, I just talked to my buddy that owns the ChevWagen. He's talking about getting serious about restoring it to 1962 specs. He got the chassis certified by adding a couple of bars at the cage. That was a very popular mid-Atlantic car back in the day.

Thanks for the info, I don't mind learning what the sites all about and following the guidelines. I think it was just the tone of the reply and the big bold caps "shouting" that got under my skin momentarily. I'm just here because I love cars like all the rest of you.

  26. Why don't we all lighten up a bit and enjoy the pictures. So somebody made a mistake. GET OVER IT... There are more important things to get upset about.

OK jump on me, I like Long Roofs...

For all the students of Ragland's Drag Racing history class. There was none bigger in Texas than the Texas Wips...The Carroll Brothers. seen her in 1978 at Green Valley Race City with Ben Griffen at the wheel of their A/FD.
