    More of the Curtiss Conqueror engined Mormon Meteor, Ab's grandson lapped the milwaukee mile a few times with this monster in 2005!

    I just went back through the 22 pages to see if this had been posted yet.

    There's a 1930s Hispano Suiza V12 currently available on Ebay.co.uk -

    Search for "hispano V12".
    You'd need a pretty big vintage chassis to drop this into, Bentley or RR i imagine.
    Somebody's gotta do it...

    Just spotted this great thread. Thought you might like some pictures of my aero engined car. It's the Royce-Hispano, a 1922 H3 Hispano 18.5 litre in a 1929 20/25 chassis. The car is road legal and drives really well now it is fully sorted.

    Didn't some 6 cly Ranger aircolled engines find their way into some open wheeled cars after wwII?

    Nope.. my friend bought a few years ago, but even then I don't think it was family owned.. The cut down Hisso was actually out of a Sprint car from the 30's if I remember correctly.. What amazing machine work on that mill !
