my vote is for a altered wheelbase, but please don't use a A100 beam under it.The narrowed truck axle is being way over done.

I have a chance to buy a powder blue 63 hardtop fairly cheap....I also have a speedway straight axle kit and a narrowed 9 inch....I also have a rollbar kit....4" dish mags and 8.5" dish mags....engine I do not have....a 383 with a 4 speed would be tits.

There you go... a 383 would be plenty for that little A Body..I had a Mild 383 in a 67 Dart with a 3.91 Sure Grip,727, it ran 12.90's all day long with an out of the box Edelbrock 750 Carb!

If you do end up getting the Dart, you should give some serious thought to joining www.forabodiesonly.com. They'll have all kinds of early A-body and big block swap info. Shoving a 383 in a '63 would take a little work as far as motor mounts, headers, and stuff like that goes. But, it's been done before many times and there are even a few kits to do it.

Nope, no elephant ears or fenderwells required. Schumacher makes motor mounts and headers for the swap. tti also makes swap headers but they are a little pricier. Could almost make it look like a factory job......
