1934 Ignition Switch removal

    All,

    1933/34 Steering lock. Tried the search but cant seem to find anything. Im trying to take out the key & lock from the ignition switch. Anyone have any idea?

    The pin has been drilled out but thats it. Any ideas?

    If the pin is out, the only thing holding it is time.

    Take the box off the back & soak the column drop in some penetrating oil. You might get lucky & be able to get a small screwdriver in there on the end of the lock cylinder. After soaking, a few taps on the screwdriver might get it to move.

    Be careful though. You can damage the cylinder hammering on it too much. Don't mess around & break the key off either.

    BUMP: Updated with pictures, Im trying to take out the key & lock from the ignition switch.

    Try to push from within the column loop. May just be hanging on burrs left of the pin...
    Will key come out?? If so, try turning the whole cylinder, not too hard, with a screwdriver.
