What a cool morning. After being on the tour racing for so many years and missing these kind of events it is good to finally meet some like minded guys and gals.
Sally had a ball with "Dutchie" and wanted to thank everyone for the great reception.
Had a great time talking with Cedrick and his buddy Ted. That Chevy is sweet.
Armondo and his wife are alot of fun and if you're going to run 23rd open then I WILL bring the S/S Belvedere and we will never be forgoten!
Hope to see everyone soon and maybe I'll get the Caddy going soon. Still have a couple of FC's to finish though.

AB-SO-LUTE-LY...I'm always up for Beer, Food, and BullShit'n!! I live in the Fairview/Gresham area...201st & Glisan are the nearest cross streets...How about you? No worries on loCal though...you can find my Chevy and I all over Portland, Beaverton, Sherwood, Wilsonville, Oregon City...you name it! For a beer, 98% time I'm at Kelly's Olympian, ever been? Enjoying a Guinness and a Ruben with fries. I know we're just finishing up this weekend...but watcha doing next Saturday? Let me know...I'll see what I've got going on as well!

Here's some of mine, hopefully not duplicating previously photographed cars. I didn't have a lot of time to spend and there were a lot of HAMBers I had wished to meet. I guess I'll try again next month.

I must say, this lil' "meet and greet" was one heck of a good time!

I had an absolut blast meeting all of you and seeing all of your great rides.. I look forward to next month!

Mondo, glad you enjoyed the ride! It is always fun for me to take people that may never have seen or ridden in a T on a ride and show them how it all works.

Spasecadet, Great vid...I had to snag it for my file! I don't get alot of video of it.

  23. I had a good time Sunday as well. I don't get out near enough but that's my own choice. I don't seem to be into Organized events just because sitting still just means there is something else I'm not getting done. I also rarely just walk over and start talking to a stranger or sit and Jack my Jaw about any of my Cars. I really just enjoy driving my stuff. Most often going to and coming home is the best part for me. I'm not anti social, just way behind for my Age and always have something else I should be doing (probably not all that un-common). I rarely go to the same place twice or take the same route back I traveled getting there.
So I've been thinking, With all the Kool places around the Portland aria why not make this a portable monthly event? I see people comment here as far South as Salem, east into Gresham, West to McMinville, I came out of the hills above La Center Wa.
What do you guys think about first Sunday of the Month pick a different place and show up? I'm not trying to Hyjack this event or run over anyone but I know for me I'd go more often if I was going to see a few different cars and people each time I showed up.

First off I had a blast on Sunday! Was a bit chilly cruising up from salem, but then I thought "I'm doing 70 mph in an 80 year old car that my dad and I built from scratch in a single car garage!" Kind of didn't notice the cold so much.

I agree with the "traveling circus" aspect but also didn't want to hijack as well. There's a great burger joint in salem that's 2 blocks west of I-5. Oh and they serve beer I believe. Hour or so from portland/vancouver, and an hour or so from Eugene. Just a thought. Or alfs in McMinville, great food, great shakes, and a live monkey.

Anyway thanks again jake! See everyone next month.

as far as making it mobile; i'm always down to do a run or go for a cruise or meet up any time. i'm going to stick with "our" gathering (the estranged cc) with voodoo donut every first sunday for now. only because i think it's a really cool spot with a big parking lot, and i like it a lot. that doesn't mean i/we won't go to anyone else's thing somewhere else though, if invited. you guys want to get something else going, please let me know! i'd love to hang out with new/more car people.
first sunday though i'll be at voodoo, and i hope to see any/all of you there for sure!

thanks again to everyone who made it-what a great time!
