  6. I have talked and talked but this '50 Poncho sedan delivery still sits behind a house about 40 miles from me. The interior panels are still in this one and that is just "Texas sunburn", not serious rust at all. I'd love to put this back on the road but he's going to do it himself SOME DAY......... Sure he is. In the summer the trees hide it from the street. During the winter I worry that you guys will spot it and have more cash in hand than I ever have!

I'm a little late here, but a '49 Pontiac Streamliner Six Sedan Delivery listed for $1749.00. The '50 (IMO) has a better looking front end........looking for production numbers, another brain numbing trivia quest.....

    What '32??

  23. Great pics Bet he's Gonna fix um up one of these days!!!

  24. Tree fell on the fastback, the 63 boxtop hardtop was hit in the front.
I tried to buy the 30 dump truck, guy said check back with him next spring. The 1932 Chrysler is a cut down sedan...the guy used it along with a Model A pickup box trailer (wich he also still had) to move into that house in the early 50's! He don't get rid of nothin!!

  25. I tried for TEN YEARS to get a 68 GTX that was sitting on a hill behind a house in Bath WV. I used to take cars to friends of mine up north, and would stop in at this guy's house on the way home with a pocket full of money and an empty trailer and winch READY TO PAY HIM AND TO HAUL IT AWAY that same day with NO GAMES and NO BS and he always shot me down. When I finally convinced him to let me look at it a little closer, I almost cried. It was a 100% untouched original car but from sitting on mud for decades it was JUNK. The black interior was now green and covered in a half inch of moldy slime, the frame rails were gone and the rocker panels were 3" underground... SAD.

But an acquantance of mine told me of a method that he uses with surprising amounts of sucess. When he hears the "I was just about to start restoring it" line, he counters with "Let me buy it and restore it. When I'm finished, I will call you FIRST. If you pay me for just the parts & the paint, my labor will be FREE but for you only." He always lives up to his end, but has almost never sold the car back to the old owners. :)

Another friend of mine bought a car that was "NEVER" going to be for sale by promising the elderly man that owned it a drive / ride every spring when he got it out of storage if he'd just sell it to him and let him care for it. Ten years of rides in the spring was a small price to pay!

The pickup cab is located in Buchanan VA under the "new" Springwood Bridge. The area flooded pretty badly back in 1985 and that is when the locals think that the truck showed up. It kills me because I have a 49 Dodge that I need some parts for...

The 55 Chevy is in a marina on "Radio Island" near Morehead City NC. I think that it'll buff out though!!!

Here's a few for you guys...

Found this '69 Dodge Monaco sitting in a half covered garage on a farm with an abandoned house. I used to drive past it every day going to my ex's house and always wondered about it. One day I went in with a few friends and checked it out. Some asshole kids had smashed all the windows out and threw tar on the roof, but it was in decent shape otherwise. 75k orig miles on it, reg went up in the late 80's car had prob been sitting there for 15-20 years or so. Amazingly it still held fluids in the 2bbl 383 under the hood. I found out the neighbor's parents owned the whole farm and house, knocked on the door, left notes....nothing. A year later, the car was gone, prob scrapped and it's all boarded up now.

Found these two sitting in the woods next to a river. They're in a really awkward spot, and I have NO idea how they even got back there. Don't know what the second one is.

Apparently, this one has a hemi...which will most likely be pulled for a pickup build.
