    hey,i have one of those. an old machinist friend of mine gave it to me when he retired.it came with a porta-power in it.i'll try to post a picture of it.this is the first post i've ever made. new guy to the hamb old guy in real life

    Stopped to visit my friend PJ Garst (Hamber by same name) today and he showed me this cool item that he bought at Hershey. Ain't it just cooler than Hell? Dang! I think it's about 2 feet long or so. Good display item I guess. I sure liked it.

    Actually, they were produced for a number of different applications. The company (I think it was an east coast company?) that manufactured them sold them to outfits like Porter Power and yes, Hoover (as in vacuums) to be used to hold their factory tool kits.

    They are great little pieces. I have one in fairly rough shape, but still love it.

    Hey, I have one of those. Mine is mint and was originally used as a mobile box for a radio repair man. It's slotted out for tubes, etc. Really neat little box.
