Looks like tall 7.10 tires on those 15x4 Cragars. I love that look.

Here are some from '65 at Somerset Drag Strip in Somerset Kentucky. Can anyone ID the Willys? If anyone has more pictures (or anything else for that matter) from Somerset please post or email me. Thanks
P.S. Check out the 409 with dual AFBs and factory chrome air cleaner in the old dragster!

Actually Bill Traylor's coupe, the "Animal," with body and paint by Dave Stuckey, Rod's brother. Bill was from Kansas, and traveled to the West Coast to blast away the 1320 record for A/Fuel Competition Coupe, think the record was 178, and Bill ran 184 while going on and off the track. Car was bright candy red, with the most radical Bantam body I ever saw. Really nice guy, too, lent me a set of goggles once when mine broke. Went on to build a fuel dragster, passed away some years ago, understand that his son is still looking for the coupe.

  22. I see a guage and regulator by our hero's right elbow - compressed air powered? Nicely built, whatever it is . . .

That altered is just too cool. Did someone say "clone"? Hell, every farmer has an old Isetta in a barn somewhere. You'd be the only kid on the block (or country) with one of these. You can barely make out 1964 March Meets.

Now the one with the Allison, well, that's just ridiculous:p.

I think it's Marlo Treit. An Ardent salt flat racer and flier. Out of Oregon.
