Hello everybody, if someone has made a conversion of a 4 door sedan to a 2 door in a -63,64 or 65- dodge 330 or Coronet, please let me know your experience in this. Is it easy or hard work? i own a 64 dodge 330 4dr sedan, i like it but i like more the 2 doors and these 2 dr sedans are rare to find. 65Funnycar: If you do the 4dr to 2dr job, please let us know about your experience. thanks!!

We are in the process of doing a conversion now. I don't know why, we have a bunch of cars.

However, we were able to obtain the old "Borough of Derry Police" max wedge car that Howdy Johnson drove to a lot of success in the Pittsburgh area. We found it in a Greenhouse in Indiana, Pa.

Anyway, the car was spent, so we picked it over and obtained a clean 64 four door from Virginia. A lot of it was bolt on stuff, and simpler than you might think. I'll try to come up with some photos....

Getting off-topic here, but a few people asked, so here goes:

What do y'all need to know about converting a 4dr into a 2dr?

It is not hard to do. Hardest part is finding the donor 2dr doorjambs.

Make sure your car is solidly sitting level and squared off with plenty of braces tack-welded in to keep the structure straight and sound. If something is crooked or not straight to begin with, it'll never be right and the whole project will end up crooked. The rest of it is just planning, measure, measure, measure, then measure some more, double-check your plans and measure more, then cut and weld.

Take your time and make sure to step back and check your work frequently. If it doesn't LOOK straight, it isn't. Figure out your plan before you do any cutting then stick to your plan thru the whole process.

Now that mine is done, I know what I would have done differently. In the beginning I had a plan and stuck to it and got it all done in a few weekends working a few hours at a time.

No it is not, this was restored by my dad. I think the Dark Blue one Bo b did was a tribute/clone & not a factory Superstock(could be wrong). I have never seen any of his work in person but looking a his website, he does some very good work & knows a lot about the 60's b-bodies.

  23. Here's a couple snap shots I took at one of the Super Stock Magazine "Nationals" at York US30. Not pure S/S cars, but pretty cool Mopars.

Is this car being worked on in PA? I think I saw the car sitting out side a shop in PA when I was up there doing some work. They also had a trailer sitting out side that had a T-Bolt NSS car painted on it.??

  25. Mosher in Monrovia CA. is working on this car. That is where these shots were taken.

Have you got any idea whose shop I went by in PA? They had a couple of cars outside including one similar to this one and as I said they had an enclosed trailer with a T-Bolt NSS painted on it. I wish I had written down the name on the car.

  29. Where in PA. were you? 422 Motorsports is near Philly in Oaks.

I wish I could remember, I worked in several locations and traveled through many more areas while I was up there early last year. I will try to retrace my travels and see if there is anything that jogs my memory. The NSS T-Bolt painted on the trailer was Burgundy. I would have recognized the name if it had been the 422 group. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!!
